- psReceived a call late in the evening from 972-661-3744... caller ID reads Dyke O'Neal, Inc. Didn't answer, they left no message. Area code 972 is Dallas, TX. When I called back, there was a recording that stated they were a debt collection agency. Upon further investigation, this company is located in Addison and Arlington TX, and their website (http://www.dyckoneal.com) states they are a Nationwide Purchase and Recovery of Real Estate Deficiencies, Liens and Promissory Notes. It must not be too important if they can not leave a message.

- sbsb| 4 repliesDyck Oneal is a debt collector. they participate in the home savers program. If you refinanced one or more of your mortgage payments to get back on track with your mortgage they are probably looking for your payment- most likely it is a very small payment - mine is 6 dollars a month - i would not want them to forclose or hit my credit over such a small payment- best to respond to them.

- Irritated replies to ScepticalI had a similar experience and don't have a mortgage or any delinquent debt, either. They called and hung up before I could answer. Called back 2 seconds later. I answered and waited to silence for 10 sec before the called was disconnected from their end. They called back 2 seconds later, again, but hung up before I could answer. They called a fourth time. I answered and there was silence for 10 seconds or so before I hung up.
- shirtpocketAsked for some name and the name is different each time they call. Message says return call to 800-447-2401 ext 5. Call that number and you get a referral to 800-545-6700 which is press a number to be connected to "Hot Passionate Single Women" line.

i know you can report them for harassment if you owe them money, but what can you do if you don't.- Caller: Dick O'neal

- Fred| 1 replyShortly after I refinanced my house loan this past year, we started getting strange calls from a Dyck-O'Neal, Inc. of Addison, Texas here in Massachusetts. We had and still have no idea why we would owe these people nor had we ever heard from them except for their really strange phone calls. They say we owe on an HSA account. We have no idea what this is about and signed nothing realtive to this onerous company. Why would the bank not tell us we owed these people when paying off one mortgage and taking on another? They certainly scrutinized every scrap of paper at that time. Dike O'Neal continues ot harass us w/ threatening phone calls. We truly believe this is a great scam that should be reported to authorities.

- MargieI think Dyck-O'Neal, Inc. is a scam company who attaches itself to mortgages, not in a big way, but in a small way compared to the actual mortgage. It's not about a large amount of money to where you'll hire and afford legal help to defend yourself, but you can't be sure you don't owe them in some small way, so a few idots will pay them, just to get them off their backs. Someone out there had better stop these thieves!

I've tried calling the number back to get them to stop and I end up in a automated circle from hell.... never actually talking to anyone, even pressing 0.

- Gilbert AZ| 2 repliesCall was from Dyck O Neal, who is a debt collection company, but no idea how reputable they are. They have been sending us letters and calling 2-3 times a day for almost 2 years. We did actually foreclose on a home that they are supposedly collecting on, but they are trying to collect on a debt that is not valid. You can't collect on purchase money loans in AZ (even equity lines). They don't seem to get it.

- Central CaliforniaMy husband and I have been getting calls from these people on our cell phones asking for his sister. We haven't spoken to her in over 12 years and she certainly does not have our cell numbers. They keep saying it is for debt collection. I've asked them to remove our numbers, but don't know if that will work. My questions is: How the heck did they get our cell numbers? The sister in law certianly doesn't have them. The only common thing is our name and her maiden name. But when they call looking for her, they ask for her by her married name.
