I get calls at work from this number regularly. They never say anything and the call is disconnected after about 10 seconds.

I did not answer and they did not leave a message. My cell phone had a warning that it was likely a scam.

Business line has received multiple calls from this number. Their call is never answered and they never leave a message.

Caller ID: TEXAS CALL.

This number called the office this morning. On the other end of the call, Carla claimed to be calling on behalf of the Association for Independent Americans. She first asked for the boss by name but added she'd also speak to an office manager. I asked if I could help her, and she started to promote something called TeleDoctor. She added that there was an association representative in our area that could visit our office tomorrow. When I told her we ddin't need medical services or doctors here, Carla tried to claim that the service was some sort of membership. I reiterated our lack of interested and I asked Carla to place us on her DNC list.

Internet research suggests the Association for Independent Americans is based out of Irving Texas and has a web presence at aindependenta.org. The whois details appear to be hidden behind GoDaddy and the domain was registered at the beginning of this year (January 30 to be precise). The association's site claims that membership includes the following services:

• TeleDoctor - 24/7 access to doctors,
• Vision care discounts,
• Telecounseling, and
• Emergency roadside services.

Per the association's website, its direct number is 888-861-4242 (4AIA) and included the following disclaimers in the footer.

Buyer beware seems like good advice should this organization call your business.

Association for Independent Americans  - I told her we didn't need their services as soon as she gave me her name. She was very combative on the phone yelling at me to tell her what her company does if I think I don't need it. I told her I had calls from them before and to remove us from her list. She continues to badger me. I told her I was hanging up and to not call again.
