Computer repair scam: heavily accented male caller "Your computer has a problem when you connect to the Internet"

976 isn't a used area code in the USA. Scams on the phone or internet should be a considered criminal terrorist activity.
Illegal telemarketing using a fraudulent identity.

Guy from India calls at least that's where he sounded like it was from Called and  asked me if I'm the main user of my computer that there's a problem with my computer   I said nice try and hung up. Heard too much before about this scam . Thank you 800 notes.com blocked the number!

I couldn't understand the name of the company he said, but he was definitely trying to create fear that everything you do on your computer is an open book.  I should have told him this sounds like a crooked business and that he is flirting with prison time.

Received call from this number today.  Did not recognize, so didn't pick up.  Researched & found out it's from Mongolia.

I knew for sure this was a scam call. Good thing I didn't pick it up to find out what it is.

Scam call as mentioned in other posts. I kept him on the line for about 15 minutes before he realized he was being had.  I always try and waste their time f I can.

Another  "your computer reported an error" scam.  hung up and blocked.....

Area code 976 does not exist. Spoofed number or call from outside of the United States. I have blocked the entire area code

976 is in Mongolia.    Man said he was calling about my computer. Iike the rest of the comments.   I did find Mongolia connected with 976 area code.
