I'm in Colorado and my mom just got this same type of call from this number. She hung up after he started going on about gangs and guns and not calling the cops. My entire family is pissed off!

got the same call today - I knew immediately it was a hoax since my son is in the military and my husband is deceased.  he got all nasty with me when I started asking him questions and challenging him - I had to hang up because he would not.  i wish i could find this guy - he needs a beating. how low do you have to sink - GO GET A JOB

We had the same call today same number.  The police said they will not do much because nobody was hurt and nothing was stolen.  The male caller told my husband he was going to put a whole through my son's head if he did not do exactly what he told him to do. My husband knew he did not have our son so he knew to not do what he was told.

Police can do little against these and other scam operations that follow a similar pattern. 9 times out of 10 these are calls placed in other countries routed through American systems to provide a more localized phone number. Go to the Secret Service Website to file further information on your incident because the police can not do this for you.  The Secret Service Department handles these international situations and has stopped many in the past as more spring up. Inform your friends, your family, and your neighbors to be careful and educated. Stay Safe.

This just happened to me 5 minutes ago.  Men are pushy, fish for information, and use scare tactics like having my sister at gun point and one screaming to the other to put the gun down.  I'm filing a police report, and suggest others do the same.

This happened to me last Tuesday.  I called police and reported it.  I have since been harassing the hell out of the guy.  Calling, texting, and voice mailing every chance I get, especially around rush hour so his phone is occupied during that time.  I know that it says that his voice mailbox has not been set up yes, but I have actually gotten him to answer his phone a few times now.  I suggest that anyone who receives a call from this loser do the same and make his cell phone obsolete.

Just almost had a heart attack because of these evil people!! We need to stop them.  They told me my family had been in a car accident and needed my social security number to varify... I said who are you and why are you doing this.  They told me to shut the FFF up.. I said I was calling the police and they said if I do that they will be waiting for me and I better sleep with one eye open.. This is seriously horrible!!

Kidnapping and Car Accident Scam: This morning I received a call from an unknown phone # 978-204-8051, the man had a Latino Accent, claiming to be the brother of a man named Ricky. The man I spoke with said did not say his name. He claimed his brother was a fugitive, a Cartel gang member and extremely violent.
The man who calls says there has been a car accident and he is trying to help. Next thing is he asks if you have a son, and what his name is.
Here is the scam, A family member has had a car accident with Ricky, and when the family member started to call the police to report the accident, Ricky pistol whipped the, knocking them out and brought them his apartment and holding them and threatening to harm and even kill them if demands are not met (in this case to repair to repair Ricky's car which I offer to fix myself). They threaten harm to the person if you hang up the phone of use the another phone to contact anyone else.

Police are calling this a Financial crime..

Some things to do. Do not send or give any money and most importantly, Stay in touch with the people you care about. Record or write down every detail you can remember after the call. Share all information on social media and the police.
I think these people will be easy to find because, in reality they will be the one left alone waiting for someone to help them. They should turn them selves in now to the police, it will be safer. The nightmare you inflict on others, will become yours.

He called my granddaughter - told her grandpa was in bad accident and wanted her to pick him up.  She couldn't leave the kids she was babysitting so they got family information from her and called her dad.  They recorded her voice.  Told her dad they had her and grandpa and would kill them if he didn't send $1000.  He heard her voice and believed it was legit.  They told her not to answer her phone if we called or they would kill grandpa. We couldn't reach her so we called police and she did as well.  Police got involved and my son let them believe he was sending money and got the number where to send it.  Police said the calls come from Mass. and the phone where they were to pick up the money was in Puerto Rico.

Same here, my husband had wrecked into a fugitive, holding at gun point wanted me to wire 800, lol called my husband on my neighbors phone, he was alive and well at work.  the only place my numbers are listed is on craigslist to advertise my business. I also had a real shi%ty response from cops, and to top it off, after chewing the guys face off, he keeps calling me back and just asaying "dead Bit^&" over and over.  The things ppl do.

I always block numbers that call more than 3 times without leaving a message (I can't answer my phone during the day because I am busy teaching). I blocked it before every answering, but wanted to add that I have Sprint, and I used to live in the Tampa area but now in Colorado.

This guy triggered my PTSD so damn bad, I found his info...hes far from me, but hes close to someone.  If I can find this, a normal citizen, why cant the cops?? cant or wont?!  He is a wanted felon and should appear on EVERY PD list.....
