I did a few minutes ago. No message left. No idea who

Caller ID says "Billerica  MA".  They leave no message.

I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number).  Their outgoing message is, "Thank you for calling the Epilepsy Foundation donation center.  If you know your party's extension, you may dial it at any time.  For a dial by name directory, please, press 2.  If you would like to schedule a pick up or for any other inquiries, please, press 0.  Thank you."

In the past they have wanted old clothing / furniture / stuff.  They pick it up and sell it at a thrift store.  The resulting money goes to their foundation.  I believe the caller is what their message says they are.

However, I can't say I appreciate them spoofing their caller ID.

Just called and I answered out of curiosity.  No one there and line went dead.  Blocked.

It was just a reminder about the donation pickup I scheduled from the Epilepsy Foundation.  They did leave a VM.

Block them they have changed their number I have received 120 unwanted calls from them and they know you can not stop them. I blocked their other number 888-322-8209 now they are using this one.

They are legal. Have used them many times for donations. They pick up and leave a receipt for tax deduction

They may be "legal", but that doesn't mean what they're doing is ETHICAL. It isn't, and they dang well know it.

Try to call them to get your number placed on their permanent do not call list. They don't have one. And the person you talk to, if you can actually get someone to talk to you, is always very snippy and rude.

EVERY other legitimate charity I've dealt with DOES maintain a permanent do not call list. They are more than happy to put you on it, and they will NOT call again, if you ask them not to.

Not this one. Bottom feeders. As close to a scam as you can get and not be a scam. Block 'em!

I agree.  They called and left no message, but I have had the "Epilepsy Foundation" call me with a different #.  I think that was out of "Canton Ma".   You want to talk to me, use a real caller id before I will even consider picking up.

and on the 18th.  Earlier this year, I ended up talking to one of their "reps".  I asked her if she took it up the >>>t?  Surprisingly she didn't respond.   I only give one to people who do.  Call me crazy but that is the only way I give to charity.

forgot to add, that one would think my response to this rep would have put me on the "Why bother" list.  I guess not.

Received another call from this telephone number. See prior note. I wish that this organization did not hide it's identity by passing the all too familiar town/state as a part of the caller ID record.

Thanks to people here I knew to avoid them, and I did.

If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a charity, like the Epilepsy Foundation, go to CharityNavigator.org where they give all the details on hundreds of charities and they do list ones they feel are scams.

They called me again. Same story as before.

called I answered, no one there...I found that any number calling me that I DO NOT KNOW I always answer with some thing like town hall, police quarters, morgue LOL They hang up and don't call back!
