Mortgage company looking to rip you off. The CEO is Bruce Marks, a bald scum-bag.

Yet another mortgage scammer. As typical, they ignore the Do Not Call list, think they're above the law like all the other scammers in the mortgage world.

my husband was looking at mortage rates months ago and this might be where this came from.  They were inviting us to a free mortgage seminar.  Lesson learned don't go anywhere but into the local bank to get the rates.

I also belive them to be in violation of the national do not call registry.

I received an unsolicited call from Bruce Marks from NACA on July 18, 2012 at approx 11:05am.  I have been on the “do not call” list and should not be receiving unsolicited calls. I will be reporting NACA through the official channels.

The Do Not Call list is a joke, thee useless as tits on a bull....

According to the BBB link already posted, NACA is a non-profit organization (Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(4), "organization must not be organized for profit and must be operated exclusively to promote social welfare").  Since they claim that they are trying to improve the welfare of low-income and bad credit home buyers/home owners, their non-profit status allows them to avoid the do-not-call list.

Not that I approve of this -- I just wondered how they got around the DNC rules.  I got one of their annoying calls, too.  They phish phone numbers, looking for someone to take them up on their offer.

I just got one of these calls this morning (7/27/12) too!  There must be a way of reporting them as we are also on the Do Not Call list. I did find that when I pressed the # button, it was to tell them to take my number off their calling list and THEN you have to press 1 to confirm. Total BS.

I was wondering what all the "PRIVATE" call IDs were on my phone this week. They didn't leave any message but the one time I answered, I get harassed by this man's voice telling me to go to a free seminar about my mortgage. I'm not sure how he got my number since I've never defaulted on my mortgage and I've never been late with a mortgage payment. Now I want to report these stupid calls.

Since I'm not home during the day, and my landline carrier is a joke as far as call-blocking, and the DNC should have to celebrate their 'birthday' they way I did mine - running (ha! i my condition, running is not an option) to check the caller i.d. every time it rang, in case someone i actually wanted to talk to was calling to wish me happy birthday - I've had my landline voicemail cut off.

When i get home, i check the 'missed calls' and if any of them are 'good' - as in friends and family, doctors, boss - I return the call.  These people know that's what i do, so they usually call me on my cellphone.

Any numbers i don't recognize - especially 'anonymous' or 'blocked call' who call me constantly with different numbers - I come to 800notes and find out how big a scam I missed.
