Second time the number has called. i don't usually pick up unknown phone numbers.

I didn't pick up, the area code is Massachusetts. I an in Saskatchewan Canada and for the last few months I have been getting a lot of calls from the USA, mostly Massachusetts and North Dakota.

this is a telemarketing for lower via rate. They are scamer and try not to answer you phone when you see thier number. if you answer once, they will call you everyday at supper time. Even if you have your number on no call list, they will still call you!

I am always getting tele-marketing calls, so I do not usally pick up when I see a number I do not know.  i called the number and it said that if i do not wish to be placed on any more promotional calls to press one.  I did lets see if that works.  So annoying!  Don't fret it is nothing serious someone is just trying to make some money.

They wanted to give me a rebate on windows. Matching the federal gov't rebate.

I'm in Canada and can't understand why this US number keeps calling.  I won't pick it up.

Look into Voip, some of these carriers, well here in Windsor, ON, Canada, if they *67, or unknown number, all they will get is a busy signal. On the other hand, once the number has been displayed, you use a web interface and add that number to the busy line! Just like I'm going to do after this post. Telemarketers suk, if I want ur sht, I'LL call you!!

To bypass a Canadian law that makes telemarketing like this ***ILLEGAL*** because of the do not call list (which I'm on), they get these companies in the US to call us instead.
Absolute crooks in the first degree.
I bet a Canadian company forwards the do-not-call list phone numbers to these scamster companies in the US.

I received a call from the number 1-978-570-2070(I *69 the call to get the number) and they said that this was my second and final notice to lower my credit card interest rate. When I stated that I didn't get any kind of notice from them in writing,and that I would not be providing my private information over the phone, the caller hung up.

Called and left a cut-off message about lowering my credit card rate.  Annoying.  Leave my private machine alone!

I have gotten several calls from this number, I even pressed the 1 to be taken off list but the calls still come.  I hope someone can figure out how to rid of these unwanted calls.

These people are criminals.  Whenever you're offered the option of pressing some number to be removed from the list, think about how you got on the list in the first place. Pressing some number will not only NOT remove you from the list, you will actually get more calls, becuase you are confirming that the call has gone through and that you are willing to follow instructions.

I keep a whistle next to the phone so if I get a live scumbag on the other end I cand send a really clear message about how much I appreciate being on their "list".

Received a call from 9785702070 about my' second and last information about a credit card'. suggest that I need to do something. Who can I report this number to.

Keep getting calls from this number ... 2nd attempt to lower interest rate .. hit "1" and as soon as you start to talk they terminate the call. Phoned my phone provider and they can't seem to be able to do anything about it ... so added a service to my phone that allows me to block up to 12 numbers for 2.00 a month and when the service is activated this will be the first one on my list and if it continues to happen then it will fall under harassment and then the law will get involved.

Dog:  I've had that 12-number call block service for years and it's been well worth every penny.  Oddly, today after trying to reduce the quantity of numbers I already had on block to make room for new ones, I unblocked 978-570-2770 that had been on block for almost two months. And guess what?  It wasn't an hour later when the 978 phantom struck again!  Needless to say, the number is now back on block, perhaps permanently, since the people using it apparently NEVER give up.
