This number (978-570-2338) has called us to extend our auto coverage. We said we don't have an extended coverage and the guy on the phone said, "What's your SS#, I'll look it up to confirm!" When my husband asked what the name of his company was, the caller hung up. We have had similar calls from the following phone Numbers:
603-214-3641, 978-570-2225, 408-651-8199 & 818-870-8142.
They are calling our house phone as well as our cell phone; no idea how they managed to get all three numbers!
On all occasions, they have been offering to extend our factory warranty, and if we ask for any information, they hang up.
(They are calling at all hours)

I also received a call from 978-570-2338, and didn't answer being as it's a wholly unfamiliar number. When they didn't leave a voicemail I looked it up online and saw tons of complaints about this number, so I'm assuming it's the same scamming folks.

Got numerous unsolicited phone calls from 978-570-2338 requesting warranty extension. Do not want and do not want to be bothered.

I've gotten 3 calls from this number all on my cell phone. The first two were about extended warranty on my vehicle (which doesn't run out for 2 more years).  I hung up both times without engaging conversation.  I didn't answer the last call when I didn't recognize the area code.

I just received a phone call from this # as well on my cell phone and did not answer. I am glad these posts are here to help identify this # as a possible scammer

I got a call from this number today at 3:30PM - Never picked up the call due to not knowing the number. Surely this is the same scam as the other posts listed here.

I never pick up, but I get called by this number at least twice or three times a day.

Same exact thing happened to me!! 1:27 pm West Coast Time Feb 11th 2007.

I have a northern California verizon wireless cellphone number and I was called by this number 978 570 2338.
I entered '3' to be taken off the list.

WTF! weird.

Just received a call from this number.  Didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number.  Of course no voicemail.

Ive been getting multiple calls from this number and I am not sure what company is this! tried getting some information but apparently same situation as the previous posts! Damn fishing company's/people!

I too just received an automated dialer call from 978-570-2338.  Selected '1' to talk to a representative and immediately informed her that they had made a call in violation of federal law (Telephone Consumer Protection Act 47 CFR Sect 64.1200) by having used an automated dialer to call a cellphone and requested that she provide the name and address of their legal counsel.

The representative said she would transfer me but instead hung-up.  These people need to receive the attentions of a Federal Prosecutor.

The number called my husbands cell phone, then mine three hours later. Don't know how they got our phone numbers. My husband hung up, I entered 3 to be removed from the list.

Called about expired car warranty. They call way too often. calls are Unwanted and a pain.

Same deal.  Pressed '1' to talk to rep.  After holding for a while man answered asking for car make/model info.  Asked which company, reply something like 'Greater Atlantic Warranty' but hard to make out.

I got a call from this number - however I hung up. Then I read these posts and decided to give these ass*oles a dose of their own. However, when I called back, I got the following message "You have been removed from our preferred customer list". Dang.

Keep getting calls from this number as well as 978-570-2225 & 978-570-2395 - thanks to those of you who have persued the issue; I just keep ignoring...  Will follow the above - thanks!
