Got a random call. Did not answer. HAve now blocked the number.  Rodney, you should do this too if you are getting calls constantly.

Ooh. A new scammer number. The con-artists must have pulled out all of the stops on this one. Same experience as everyone else, called, didn't answer, didn't leave a message.

Got a text from this person claiming to be Jordan Knight from new kids on the block

This dang number blasted my phone with 5 calls in under 3 seconds. Phone auto-blocked it but still alerted me. No human could call, get blocked, and the retry that quick.

You are correct; these calls are made by auto dialers, usually referred to as robo calls.  Had you answered this particular call you would have heard what sounds like a human speak to you about the "National Fire Fighter Fund."  It would even have been "responsive" to your voice.  Most of these charity telemarketing calls are scams.  Read here:
