- sccI get repeated calls from this number. I have no business with this number. Wish they would stop it!
- BarbaraAccording to the message left on my husband's voice mail, the caller was WellCare (with whom we deal) wanting to inform him about plan changes for next year and leaving WellCare's 855 number as the one to call back.

- Lynn Ross| 1 replyI've received so many scam calls in the past month that I called my phone company (US Cellular) to report them. The person I originally spoke with (after I refused to change my number, refused to accept: "There's really nothing we can do," and a fair amount of prodding) told me he would have their fraud department call me on the following Monday. On Tuesday, a woman did call me and explained what to do (without changing my number) in such simple terms that I do not understand why these words are not appearing as public service announcements on every newscast.
In short, she said: DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM A NUMBER YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE. (I'd been doing so because I have medical issues and feared not receiving important information.) EVEN IF YOU HANG UP IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU SUSPECT FRAUD, THE CALLER, OFTEN A ROBOT, NOW KNOWS THAT HE/SHE/IT HAS A "LIVE" NUMBER. (Because I'd been answering calls and hanging up, I was receiving calls up to three times daily from the same caller!) DON'T ANSWER. GOOGLE THE NUMBER. IF IT'S A PERSON OR BUSINESS YOU DEAL WITH, CALL THEM BACK. IF NOT, DON'T.
I hope this information will be helpful to others. Thank you enormously for the service you provide--and for the short, simple way you do it. I am "elderly" and a technological idiot. Had this been long and/or complex, I would not have done it--and it is important that people/companies band together to fight crime.
Thank you,
Lynn Ross- Caller: 978-775-6026

But, repetition certainly does not hurt (although it might cause undue wear on keyboards) - bpAutomated call for "Debra" (don't know a Debra) from Medicare.

- Dora replies to BitwhitWell care is a medicare prescription drug plan. They did leave a message on my phone but it was for my brother and since I have not seen him yet I don't know if that the call is legitimate. They said they had important information that will help him get the most out of his plan in the coming year. I will suggest to him that he not call the number they gave but instead call the number on his identification card.
- cyndiwellcare is a dart D provider they left message to check for next year as it is renew time for medicare plans if you want to switch

- SabinaIf this is Wellcare, they are a very difficult company. They call at all hours with messages - and they love calling evenings and weekends when you can't call back. I've reported them to the Atty General of Florida and wish others would do the same.
- David WDefinitely a WellCare recorded message. I'm one of their customers. The message indicated I could save on prescriptions by using their mail order pharmacy. They left a call back number.

- CarlI keep getting that call to,.. it's a scammer masquerading as WellCare trying to take advantage
of unknowing WellCare members...
You see this type of ID theft all over Facebook too...
This time of year is very high in scams and theft...
I did not answer,.. instead,
I called WellCare using the number on the back of my card.
The representative assured me that the ONLY legitimate number is the one on the back of the card.
She reported the scammer's number... - Jim TI received a voice mail message "aledgedly" from wellcare prescription drug plan with Medicare part D. I do not know if this is the "real" wellcare company or a fraudulent one. They said my name, but these days you never know how they got your name and number. I don't answer these calls unless they send me a letter in the mail asking me to call them and telling me what the issue is about. I don't ever give out my personal information or social security number. If your a member of wellcare they will already have all of your information. Only call the number on the back of your WellCare card to correspond with your drug plan. Assume all other callers are scamers...
