asking about someone ! ! ! they are very insulting

Watch out!  They violate FDCPA the fair debt collection practices act, a federal law.  Do not get sucked into their gumba tacticts; they are rude and w3ill harrass you.  

Learn about the FDCPA and document everything.  Also, learn about Zombie debts; chances are they resort to bottom feeder conduct is that they have no legal standing to collect on the debts that they bought on the secondary market from the original lender.  Some times, they are calling on an ancient Zombie of debt purchased from another third party who purchased this from another third party who bought it from the original lender.

In the case of my call, they are unaware of California law and cannot collect on a debt this old.  Learn your state law as it pertains to Zombie collections.  

And laugh in their ear if they call, for they are trying to use fear and shame to get you to pay on a debt the state and federal government says, in most cases, is past the statute of limitations.

I am sure many of us are all for paying our bills, but in this economy, many can not. Callers like this organization will belittle you, berate you, and try to use the law against you.  Problem is, this outfit is shady judging by the posts I have read and first hand experience.  I have reported them to the FCC and recommend you do the same.
