Wanted to speak to my daughters boyfriend.

This is a debt collection agency. They call any number they can associate with the person they a looking for.

Do you know where they are located? I tried to find the company. No lawfirm, collection agency in MA is registered under this name or number. Is it a scam. and I can't imagine how they found my number.

they called roughly around 4:45 in the afternoon. I didn't answer. The caller ID said "Cambece Law"

(978)826-1299 - Has called in the past but I did not answer.  Finally, a person indentifying himself as Henry Lindolph from Attorney Ken Beesie's (sp?) office and he requested that I telephone him at (866)636-7168.  He stated that it was regarding a matter relating to someone other than myself.  The name given was someone that I knew years ago back in high school (20+ years).  I called them back and advised them that I barely knew the person they were referring to and requested that I not be contacted again as I had no knowledge of their whereabouts or how to contact them.

They called 2 years ago asking for someone who never worked for my company. I told them we didn't have anyone by that name. They asked to speak to a manager. I explained that there have only been two employees myself and my husband and neither of us know this person. They called 3 more times in the first month we were open. They just called again after all that time. I told them we still don't know this person. We'll see if I hear from them again. I wonder why people would lie to them about where they work :)

asking for some ladies name (since it wasn't me i don't remember).  said they had talked to her at this number 2 weeks ago.  "no one by that name is at this number, sorry".  i would like to talk to her now.  "sorry, can't help you."  how long have you had this number?  "sorry, can't help you".

I received a phone call asking for someone that has/had same last name.  I responded to them "Who are you asking for?" After the person responded, my response was that there was no one her by that name and I had no knowledge of that person.  Later the same day, my mother-in-law received the same call.

rude and outragious demands for different person.

Called me at approximately 9:30 am and asked if I knew someone that I worked with several years ago (I had went out with him for about 2 months - nothing serious).  I told them that I did not know the person.  They said "Why would he give your contact information."  I said "I don't know... this is the ---- residence."  They said "So you know no one by that name.  I just said no.  Why would they need to know if I knew someone 4 years ago?  They did not give a name, just said that they were from an attorney's office.  Were they trying to scare me????

A rude guy left a message saying that he was from canBC law and that I have to call him back immediatly about an accounting problem. I called him back and he asked if these were the last four digits of my ssn. I said no and he said he got my cell# from my work and he was very defensive when I asked who he was.

Last Friday, March 7, 2008, a call was placed to my sister who lives in another state looking for me.  The woman stated her name was Tiana Delandy and she was from JA Cambece Law Firm.  

She was very rude to my sister who refused to give her any information.  I have no idea what the heck she wants...

We recieved a rude call demanding my husband call back Kelly McNeal at CanBc law firm. She was phishing for personal information.  SCAM!

Same Tiana Delandy called me -  asking politely to leave the note to my neighbor,given neighbor name: with her name and number to call back - (866)3821777
Was very polite but insistent, have not asked for any personal info. I had a feeling it was a collection agency.

First don't engage in conversation with them . Say NOTHING! They must identify themselves as a debt collection agency. That is the law. Also it is against the law if they call your workplace or talk to others about an ALLEGED debt. Also remember if they try to make a Deal with you , say, pay a certain amount and they will forget the rest, They are lying. Including setting up a certain amount to pay each month on a debt, they are lying. They will call back and harrass.
When they do call, ask their name ( usually it is a generic name/alias)and for name of company. Write down their Address. Fax. Case Number. Write them a letter telling them to not call you about the ALLEGED debt ( include case number). Also Fax them the same.
Freaks them out if you don't let them talk. So again, do not engage conversation. Cuts back on the calls to you as well as can stop the calls completely.
Don't forget you have rights too. Research the net about your rights with debt collectors and how to deal with them. It works!

SMARTEN UP PEOPLE - CAMBECE LAW OFFICE IS ONE OF THE OLDEST SCAMS OUT THERE! You or someone you know has a 3+ year old debt that they bough for a few cents. They are actually a CollectAmerica Agency who uses some lawyers name on their letter head and machine to sound scary. They can't sue you because they are not real lawyers. DO NOT TALK WITH THEM or call them back and definitely do not set up payment plans as they will not honor them and only steal your money. If you are dumb enough to do business with them then keep CAREFUL records and send all correspondence via certified mail or you will be sorry - TRUST ME - WE LEARNED THE HARD WAY! Google Camebece Law Offices and read up on what it is they do - its awful!

They called my husband in order to collect on a old credit card. We called them back to work out a payment schedule(we had no idea how awful they were) The demand the money in full(which we do not have) we offered to posted 3 checks so the balance would be payed in full. They said "NO" and continued to insult me about credi. I let them know that my credit score was an 827 and didn't need any assitance and then they continued to slader my husband who was on the call as well. They were looking over his credit report then got rude, offensive and loud. I ended the call by telling them to take us to court because they will never see a dime from us.

This people are a joke, after reading all these posts one thing is for sure they will never see a cent from us.

just called, but did not pick up. We don't answer numbers we dont know and at least I do not. I am not sure how they got our number since its unlisted which ticks me off.  Thanks goodness for this site and thank for telling me who they are, etc.

called about 12:15 pm today looking for a Jerry.  When I said wrong number she said ok and hung up.
