Called twice. No message left. Similar to another number that calls for donations. Anyone else get a call?

Ditto...  They call - leave no message.  So boring!

Just got a call from this number on my cell.  They leave no message because they are obviously scamming.

Called me just now. No message either

Just called on my cell phone.  No message left.

Called both my home phone and cell phone 30 minutes apart. Did not leave a message. CID = Acton, Ma. When I called the number back, surprisingly (she said sarcastically) I got a recording of "this number is not in service" then it immediately went to a fast busy signal. Not legit.

Just got a call, no voicemail.

Called 8/7/15 at 12:20pm.  Didn't leave a msg.

Finally left a message. ID says Acton, MA.  Did not identify company name but claims I am qualified for a 14% reduction in my electric bill due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  I could avoid a coming 14% rate increase by pressing 1 on my phone.  If I don't want any more of these calls I can press 3.  I pressed neither but have blocked them.  The robot goes on further to say that if you pay $150 a month or more on your electric bill you should push 1 on your phone.  If they cannot say who they are then they offer nothing but words.  They're afraid you will research them and have time to think about it instead of doing an impulse buy on the phone.  The research results must not look very good since they deliberately withhold the company name. This must be an electric power broker trying to get customers to move from their existing power provider.  You have to be on the phone to get the deal because they don't tell you how to contact them.....a wasted opportunity on their part since they think they have a great deal for people.  RECOMMENDATION: block 978-881-0963

This is the latest scammer trick. They use a number in your same area code to make you think you might know the caller.

I too just got a call from 978.881.0963 but they say nothing and leave no msg.  Far as I'm concerned that means that they don't exist

Just picked up the phone, didn't listen long.

"This is a  call regarding your electric bill. due to a recent act of congress..."

I don't have an electric bill because I don't have a house. I travel full time.

These people appear to be using a range of similar numbers. So far, we have seen calls from 978-881-0962 and -3 and -4. And they are calling mobile phones as well.

Called twice now to my cellphone number [tonight's call came at 8:15 pm; two days ago that call was at 4:30 pm].  Both times a recording of a loud-voiced woman urged me to press #1 if I owned my own home (yes) and also had monthly electricity bills of more than $150.0 (we don't--yet, that is).   As Milvano reported elsewhere on this complaint page on 11 August 2015, this unknown and pushy company claims I am qualified for a 14% reduction in my electric bill due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  Furthermore, I could avoid this coming 14% rate increase merely by pressing #1 on my phone.  Ah, if only this lie was true...

Called my work cell at 9PM at night.  No message. Caller ID says MA USA. I am in Massachusetts.

Googled while my cell phone was ringing, and first hit was 800notes.com -- thank heaven for this website! Rejected call and blocked caller.

Called twice- no message. Called the number--recorded message indicated that this was a "non-working number."  Funny how it "worked" a few seconds ago--interrupting my work day. Blocked.
