Calls but never leaves message

Caller ID shows as "Customer Servic" (sic), didn't leave a message.

Recording re: electric bill reduction (scam) - comes up as "Customer Servic" on caller ID.  We are on the do not call list.  We have received this same recording from other numbers in the past, so blocking their number doesn't seem to help - they just use another :-(

Just recieved a call from customer service....I did not pick up, no message left.
I get all sorts of useless calls like this. There's no end to it.

Comes up as "Customer Servic" on caller ID.  I didn't answer and they left no message.  I called after hours (using *67 to block my number).  Their answering machine has an option to be placed on their Do Not Call list (I never do this as it can make things worse).  There is nothing else on their message, no business type, no company name.

If this was a legitimate company or customer service, they would give me their name and not spoof the caller ID,  Smells sleazy to me.

If this is an energy scam as others have suggested, DO NOT switch.  They give a small short term rate reduction.  They promise a rebate that will likely never come.  They then switch you without notice to a sky-high variable rate.  Although you can "cancel anytime", they are near impossible to reach.  All they need to switch you is your account # with your existing provider.  DO NOT give it to them.

Caller ID read 978-881-0972. Did not answer. No voice mail left. Thanks to Steve in MA for the info. And he's absolutely correct. These electric rate reduction outfits are essentially scams. Don't bite and don't give an account number.

They called during supper time.  Caller ID said "Avalon, CA".  I didn't answer, but they started to leave a message - pre-recorded, and it didn't get the beginning, so I guess their computer messed up and thought a real person had answered the phone.  The same energy scam that others have mentioned.

Annoying hangups

Caller doesn't leave a message.  Caller ID shows only Acton, MA.

Called again this evening, but didn't leave a message.  Caller ID said "Customer Servic".

We got a call from this number today at 6:12 pm, and it was blocked by our call blocker. The caller ID was CUSTOMER SERVIC. We have gotten similar calls from 978-881-0965 and 978-881-0962.  For this reason our call blocker blocks all calls from this area code and exchange (978-881-XXXX). I highly recommend such a device to avoid these nuisances.

I feel your pain; we experience the same thing and have for over a year from this scam.  Even got a snail-mail mailing TODAY from a company claiming this same SCAM:  "CONSTELLATION ENERGY".  Then we got calls today from 978-525-9182 AND 866-314-4207 before this one with the first one using an ILLEGAL PRE-RECORDED message ~saying~ it was a followup call from the mailing!  So, they ADMITTED who they are, and have committed a CRIME, as we are on the DNC List, as well.  Suspect they are all connected to the same SCAMMER source.  I intend to file a complaint against CONSTELLATION ENERGY with my Atty General's office.  Looking for a way I can start to collect some $$ for all this harassment - over 350 calls in less than 13 months from just THIS kind of SCAM.

Also 978-525-0182,  Caller ID said "MANCHESTER, MA".

They also give a phone # 877-997-9995 to call to 'remove your name from our list' BUT I would NOT recommend you do so, as they can then claim that YOU contacted THEM and have therefore 'established a business relationship' with them which then gives them the right to call you for at least 18 months by DNC rules.
They also give an email of "home@constellation.com" but I wouldn't contact them that way for the same above reason.

Contact your state's Atty Gen'l's office and see what can be done for you by them.

We also got a call from 978-525-9182 on 3/14/16, just two hours before this one.  No other info on that number; but suspect its related to this one from Constellation Energy.

No name on Caller ID, no voicemail left, blocked.

Automated call about saving money on energy bill due to new gov regulation. Sounds like a scam to me.
