Received call @ 4:53 PM (EST) 12/07/2018. Caller I.D. showed: "WCF". I did not answer and no message was left on my voice mail. What does WCF stand for?

Unsolicited phone calls from "WCF" are from Women's Cancer Fund, also d/b/a Cancer Recovery Foundation International. We've received multiple calls from multiple numbers that this scam outfit uses. (Google any group that evaluates so-called charities; this one gets a very low rating.) Received a call--which we didn't answer--from this number today (12/11/18) at 5:19 PM (EST). Callers use non-fixed VoIP (voice over internet protocol), so can call many people at one time. Callers are very aggressive if you answer; they want you to donate by credit card even if you ask for something by mail so you can look the organization up online. We believe the group is committing fraud by representing itself as a charity when very little money is used to help people with cancer or for research. We've blocked this number and recommend you do the same.

Had received several missed calls from 980-220-4404 with caller ID "WCF". Decided to answer this morning at 9am. The person asked for me by name. I stated who I was. The recorded caller said "Ok. Just calling to confirm. I'll call back later" and hung up...the called me!  I blocked them!

They called and did not leave a message. It appears to be a robocaller and a scam. Never give or confirm your information.

I've also had calls from this sham charity from 206-309-2544 and 980-220-4415.  This time the CID said "Not Assigned" instead of WCF.  That shows they're trying to hide who they are.  They only donate about 5% of their collections to the actual charity.
