Female asked for me by my first name. She then said she was calling on behalf of women with breast cancer who could not afford their medicine and, if she sent me a donation envelope, could theses women depend on me for help?  I'm dubious that this is a real charity

I'm actually a breast cancer researcher, so when I get this call from a purported breast cancer foundation that I'm familiar with, I'm immediately suspicious. I would treat fundraising from this entity as highly suspicious.

Asked for head of household- when I said they weren't available, they left no message and said they would call back.

The first female that asked for me by my first name was different than the one that it then switched over to and she sounded like a recording. Was absolutely two different women and was really not getting any of my money.

Answered (against my better judgement), hung up.  See above, I'm guessing.

Called and asked for Joseph. I hung up before conversation could start. Sounds like scam/phishing call.

DO NOT SAY YES!!!! The record voices for scams. I called the number back and I got a busy signal indicating this is a phony caller.

Woman refused to tell me how she got my phone number, I'm on the do not call list.  She hung up on me.

You number was probably just next in line numerically.

Breast cancer fund raising.  I asked what % goes to the charity.  I was told 12%.  I ask this question of all calls that come in now.  The vast majority seem to be unworthy of my donation.
