Called back, answering service picked up in which they advised the caller they are an academic advising corporation willing to assist you for free to help find the right school for you. Press option "2" to be removed from their call list.

I just finished sending in a complaint to the North Carolina Atty. General. I believe this call has something to do with jobdiagnosis.com. Some months ago I applied to a job through jobdiagnosis.com. I never received a response to my application but started receiving this type of telemarketing call from (971) 220-1894. My advice is to complain to the NC Atty. General. It was easy as it can be done online.

I called 980-265-5501 and the message said I was calling "Academic Advisor." I didn't take it any further.

I did the same like Stacy and they said I have been removed. We will see. Thanks,

I called the number back and pressed 1 to have my number removed. it repeated my # back to me and recording said my # has been removed from the list!

Brilliant! Scammers just tricked you into calling them back and confirmting your number. Now you'll get even more junk phone calls.

Man just called and asked for my 10 yr old son. When I asked who it was calling he said "academic advisor may i speak to Collin". I told him I was his mother, my son was a minor so no he couldnt speak to my son, he just laughed and said ok and hung up, What is wrong with these ppl? The only reason I even answer this call was because I have 3 kids going to online schools.

got a call and it sounded like a really muffled voice like they were talking through a voice disguiser

This person called me 15 minute ago stating that I made a request to complete my education, lying about it of course...  I am 49 years old, holding a PHD! ......Idiots!

I filled out an application on snagajob.com literally an hour ago, and I just got a call from this number. I immediately came here to see what it was about. When snagajob asked if I wanted to continue my education I marked NO. This is why I hate online applications, they have already sent me multiple emails since I filled out an application an HOUR ago!! What a pain!

Called and left no message.  Thanks for the info.  I have deleted.

Applied for a job and started getting these phone calls. Thought it was a bill collector until I realized I'm caught up on all my bills. So irritating.

am and kaite are correct. when you sign up on job sites they always have you fill out a registration form, and ask for your phone number. DO NOT DO THIS! your contact information is only important to the employers you send your resume to "after" you are registered on the job site. the job site itself does not need a contact number. what i have been using on the registration page for job sites is my local trash p/u company. bazinga!
waste management companies have no tolerance/patience for the "education opportunities" calls and will put a quick stop to those calls on their end. or if you prefer, you may contact the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION www.ftc.gov to lodge a professional complaint 888 382-1222. hope this will help. good luck everyone. :)

I just got a call from this number.  I didn't answer because I didn't know who it was from.

Thanks for the posts! I am desperately looking for a job, and so discouraged/disgusted that one of the job sites must share my number with some crap company that I have no interest in receiving calls from!
It's so sad, to be looking so hard for a job, and getting calls from this company instead of from any potential employers. Ich.

Recently started getting calls from a variety of numbers, including this one; and one text... so far. I don't answer, they leave no voice mail.

This sort of thing on my home and business lines is why I almost exclusively use cell phone now. Wonder what I will have to migrate to next?

This is a call from "Academic Advisers"  usually you get put on one of these lists when you use a regionalhelpwanted.com website to apply for jobs.  They more or less want to talk to you about getting more education.  It does not matter if you click the button  so that they won't call you, they still will.  It's very annoying.

This number calls and they don't answer.. It is irritating..
