Got a call from this number 980-265-5631 when I answered there was no one there. This number has called here several times in the last few days.

FOP and some scam that ignores the do not call list.... Bless your heart!

Been getting multiple calls from this and also 980-265-5636 - both show up as "Charity" on my ID.  The one time I picked up to tell them to buzz off, I got about 5 seconds of dead air, and some garbled, unintelligible recording.

Called for FOP for donations. Number has called many times and I finally answered to see who it was. 980 is a Charlotte, NC exchange.

I keep getting calls morning or night form 980-265-5631.  The caller ID shows only a letter "I".  I have also gotten calls from a Private Number that shows up as Anonymous.  When I pick up the phone I get nothing.  But when I don't pick it up, my answering machine does.  It is the strangest message ever.  All it says is...."is Cathy there?...Hello? Is Cathy there?....is Cathy there...Hello?  Is Cathy there?".  Now I thought it was someone I knew b/c the voice kind of sounds like someone I knew in Chicago, plus there are using my name (and not my real full name). But it isn't anyone I know.  I have gotten this message on my answering machine more than a few times...but strangely the message is EXACTLY the same...meaning it is a recording of someone asking for me, not a real live human.  So why have a recording of someone saying Is Cathy there? Hello? Is Cathy there?".  It is really starting to tick me off!!!  AND it's real spooky!!!!! Anyone out there received the same calls??

I get this phone call at apx 8:05 am in the morning when they call.  And they always ask in a dead pan deep authoritative tone, :Is Eva there?  Eva is the name of my deceased grandmother and her name is in the phone book.  So when a telemarketer calls who uses her name I know they are doing a sales pitch which ignores the "do not call prohibition" I have for my number.

I received a call from this number early morning  I did not pick up but the message on the answering machine said  "Hello...is Patricia there.....is Patricia there"       I have a nonpublished number and I have given it to very few people    It was extremely alarming to me that someone had obtained my number and called me personally by my name  

I get his call with the caller ID  showing only:    I (eye)     hangs up when  answering machine clicks on- I never answer unknown numbers.

Strange, when I got the call it sounded like a police department representative was calling. He said that, "may the male/female head of the house speak please..." which was really strange. I never ever had a call like that, and makes me wonder if someone is impersonating a police officer. The name of the caller is "Unknown," which also rang the bells in my head.

This is a regular call we get from an organization that is collecting money for police in North Carolina. I've looked into it before and they do give money to police charities but the rate is only about 12% to the charity.And we don't give to any charity that calls on the phone. They are hacking me off because they call at 8am.
