I'm in Baltimore MD. and my story is the same to the letter of UpsetInWashington except the got the ladies name is is Lory Tucker or so she says I got several numbers 1-980-939-0922, 1-213-985-1942, and 1-469-814-8037 but I also googled ALLIED LEAGLE SERVICES and a person did in fact call me back and explained to me than they have been getting some calles from people with our problem he said that it was a out right SCAM and not to worry about it.  Hope this helps.

i too got a call from a tina mccoy.  and the call wasn't even for me, they said i was a contact for someone else.  when i called back, a woman answered, sounded exactly like the tina mccoy that left the message, only she said tina was out of the office.  i told them to stop calling me for someone i don't even know and that i will file a harassment suit if she ever called me again.  of course she hung up. what really pissed me off was that she knew my name in connection to a total stranger that i get random calls for, not knowing that we were total strangers.  and i have no idea how they got any of that information to begin with.

Got an identical call today, person named Sharon Smith, same line about being a respondent in a court action, with the restraining order, gave the same phone number-980-930-0922 to call back, claimed to be a special investigator, thw whole nine yards.Does anoyone have any idea who these people are and how they are getting phone numbers,names, etc. particularly of numbers that aren't supposed to be listed?  I'm calling the Georgia AG's office about this tomorrow.

Thanks for that posting-- we got the same call, phone number on our caller ID was 443-569-5475, they left a callback number of 980-939-0922, individual claiming to be a Special Investigator was Sharon Smith, etc. I'm calling the Georgia Attorney General's office in the morning.

My husband got the 1st call this morning and freaked out being that he was a cop! But they (local police dept) have been working on it because I too got the same mess about restaining orders, warrents, jail and court. My caller was a Amanda Johnso and when you call the office you never get the "field inverstator" you get someone else. The red flags went up for me because they could not give me even the basic info like my own acct number the lawyers name that was handleing the case, they would not give me there addres or even send me a copy of my debit. When I asked for the acct number on the debit they told me to run my own credit report. I have filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorny General Office. But here is what I know they pulled this scam off in Ga. first and now here in N.C.. The number they are calling from is located in Charolett NC but it appears there home office or main office is in cleveland ohio. and it is a scam.

person from 980 939 0922 called my mom the other day said they were detective bryant walker and needed me and my lawyer to call this number that I had a restraining order and complaint against me and I was going to have to go to court. I called and a lady who wouldn't give her name told me it was a debt collector for credit card company and I needed to send money today to take care of it.I asked if they could send papers on what I owed and she said no and that I could only deal with them on this matter and not the credit card company themselves. Are they a real collection agency just using scare tactics or is it a bunch of bs?

If they said "Special Agent" they are implying they're law enforcement, in this case FBI, which is against criminal as well as civil law. Report them to the FBI.

They're an extortion ring operating overseas. They have no valid debts to collect.

Buncha BS! Report the number and call to your state attorney general and the FBI.

The number is leased from a company that exists solely to provide telephone numbers for temporary use. The actual base of operations is outside the country to complicate legal actions.

They are not legit!

I also received a call from these guys (actually they called my parents house which of course I wouldn't have listed as an emergency contact!).  I finally called them back today at 980-939-0922 and the woman I spoke to was actually very civil.  Said HSBC bank was looking to collect around $2000 (don't remember the exact amount), which I did have an account with but closed in 2007.  She knew the first 5 of my social security number and my birthdate, but had my last name wrong (missing the last letter.)  I asked her the name of the company and she said "Litigation Support Services".  She said HSBC had hired them to collect, and not that they had bought the bad debt.

I just bought a house so I thought something like this would have shown up on my credit report.  I just checked all 3 reporting agencies, and all show the account closed and paid in full.  So I guess this is a scam, but pretty slick.  I will probably check into a little bit more just to be sure.  I am VERY thankful for this site, and now I am pretty sure this is fraud.  Good luck everybody!  :)

These same people using these same numbers are also operating out of Virginia using this number : (804) 767-4880.  Gave me the same affidavit, restraining order, have my attorney call them, but nobody ever answers the phone bullcrap.  These guys out of Virginia are going by "Litigation Support Services" and my call came from "Sasha Jones".

Does anyone have any information on Allied Legal Services other than phone numbers?  I have an attorney who is drafting a complaint and working on this on a contingency basis but need an address to serve these people.  Any info on this company would be helpful!  Thanks :)
