Call received 10-25-19 at 3:00 P.M.  Left recorded message:  ....customers...$200.99 will be deducted from your account.  If you wish to cancel or stop the payment press 1 to ..... or call 985-221-7330.  I will repeat 985-221-7330.  Thank you.  The recorded voice was garbled.

They left a message leaving their REAL phone number… So I called them back using a *67 prefix so they could not track my called number.
They wanted me to go to anydesk.com and download the remote access software.

They wanted me to install an executable (anydesk.exe) file that would have allowed them remote access into my computer.

When I asked them  What software that they were trying to renew, they said it was for windows defender.

Windows defender is free through Microsoft… So they are trying to scare you into renewing or giving them access to your computer so they can install malware on it… The malware will then lock up your computer and they will demand a higher payment to unlock your computer.

I called this number and there was no response was curious

Caught caller in message on recorder, didn't get who was calling, press 1 to cancel being billed $299.99 tomorrow for renewal of something or to call  (missed the number). I called the # on my caller ID, long story short, (Indian-sounding voice) said I had to download something so he could give me a form to cancel. I said, why can't you take my message, why can't you email me the form, said they deal with millions of people, faster to do it this way. He told me what to type on my computer to download something, but I just wrote it down, didn't download, hung up on him. Checked it out, it was a program  that Norton said was safe, so I downloaded. It was so they could dial into computer (Ultra Viewer).So I called back, and allowed him to, but (being familiar with these programs) when he removed the icon that allowed me to disconnect if I wanted to from my side (because I was suspicious), he had me open Chrome, asked what kind of computer I had, I asked why, he asked again what kind of computer, I asked why, then he said he really didn't need to know. He said I had control of computer but when he began typing in browser window, and he had removed my ability to disconnect from Ultra Viewer, I clicked to shut down my computer (we were on a phone call still). He asked what happened, and I acted surprised and said I apparently lost internet connection. I then went to bank, had them check if I had paid for a program for $299.99, 12 months ago, they couldn't find it or that I had paid their company anything, and I began questioning a scam. This evening, I tried calling that number back, and IT HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. SCAM. RUN.

Got a call saying my computer service was being renewed for $299.99. I f I wanted a refund push #1 or call 985.221.7330. Scam.
