- DaveThey called me asking for person information. This seemed HIGHLY suspect to me.
- Caller: unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jeremy| 1 replyWe need an "other" option in the "Call Type" list, as this caller is none of the types listed.
I have a Verizon wireless account and purchased Asurion handset insurance when I purchased the handsets several months ago. I received a call tonight from this number, but it hung up when I answered. I searched for the source of the call, finding this site. I called the number and reached an automated system identifying the number as belonging to Asurion. The system looked up the account by the number with which I had called, but the address it wanted me to verify was incorrect. I hung up and called Verizon, who connected me directly to Asurion. The Asurion rep that Verizon reached for me stated that a claim had recently been opened and asked if my concern was regarding that claim or a new one. I stated that I'd not made any claims, so the rep said she would forward my complaint to the correct department.- Caller: Asurion

- dan replies to JeremySame thing happened to me this morning with this number. I have yet to call asurion about it.
- Ethan sharpeI would like to know who this came from
- Lori FeltnerThis is good to know. After reading the post from Jeremy I decided to look into it. I had made a claim in the beginning of the year and my claim was satisfied and closed. I have yet to call them back since they also called my mother's cell this morning, she has never had a claim. When filing my claim I told them that I had already dropped my cell to be replaced in the recycling box at Verizon and was no longer in possession of it. I think I should stop by the Verizon store since that's where I was when I filed the claim, to see if they can call in for me again.
- Caller: asurion
- Debif you have not returned your old phone after receiving your replacement. They call you to tell you to please return it or they will charge you a fee.
- Caller: Sprint/Assurion
- Call type: Telemarketer
- K PI got calls from this number. They left a message saying they were calling about some number that was a bit similar to mine, but not my number. They said they would charge $300 if some replaced equipment was not returned. I ignored the calls. I rarely give my cell number to commercial entities for fear of being inundated with spam calls and texts so I figured it's best to just ignore them.
- Caller: Asurion
- stcyotroCaller is Asurion checking on status of damaged cell phone return in regard to insurance claim. Have had several claims with Asurion over the years and have never had a problem. This time around, they can't seem to acknowledge the fact that the cell phone was returned to them over a month ago, and have been repeatedly leaving messages asking if the phone has been mailed.
- Caller: Asurion
- L CI got a voicemail from this number saying they would charge me $300 if I didn't return a phone from a claim I never made. I will be calling Verizon because I don't want anything popping up on my bill. There was no deductible charged on my last bill so I'm guessing it was a phishing call.

- Michele| 1 replyI've gotten a call from this number and a completely different number claiming to be Asurion about returning a damaged cell phone or be charged 300 dollars. I don't have insurance on my phone, and never filed a claim. even go as far as giving a claim number. Called Verizon who stated this is a phishing scam for personal information. Don't fall for it.
- Caller: Claims to be Asurion

- MelissaI received a call from this number, I have Verizon and filed a replacement phone claim through asurion, they were calling to remind me to send back my damaged phone . This is not a telemarketer!
- Caller: Asurion

- KarkMy pgone started ringing with this number, i sent it to VM but they didn't leave a message which means to me they are scammers.

- Ashley KI read multiple posts stating this caller is Asurion.. This is not suspicious to Me if it is them in fact calling..as I had filed a claim to get a device replaced.. I know we have 10,days to mail in the defective device upon receiving the replacement and I'm sure that's what they were calling to check up on.. As I have to do that with mine this week..
If these numbers aren't automated and are actual people calling to connect with you to offer reminders to send the device back or you could risk being charged $300+ then I really don't understand WHY THEY CANT LEAVE INFO IN VOICEMAILS SO I KNOW WHO THE HELL THEY ARE ?? I MIGHT EVEN ANSWER IF I KNEW JUST WHO THE HECK WAS CALLING!!?
BESIDES..IZ THAT NOT THE RESPECTFUL THING tO DO?- Caller: They didnt aay who they were but im reading here its Asurion
- Mishal Kaur| 1 replyIt is in fact Asurion calling to remind you to return your damaged device if you filed a claim for a replacement.
They don't ask for any personal information other than your name and phone number.
I filed a claim recently due to my phones camera refusing to focus and they replaced it free of charge since Sprint was being useless and not wanting to repair the phone or help me send it off to be repaired.
This call was just a reminder to please send the phone back in the pre-paid envelope they sent with the phone.
Just because someone doesn't leave a voicemail doesn't mean they are scammers.
I wish people would stop posting that.
If you'd take the time and Google the number it shows that it is Asurion.- Caller: Asurion

- Mike B replies to MicheleI got the same message and returned the call. Found someone in another state filed a claim with our cell number. Long story short, someone made a fraudulent claim to the insurance company Asurion and trying to get us to pay the $300 dollar fee.
- MomMy daughter had her phone replaced by Asurion. The call was to remind her to send in her damaged phone.

- JessicaSo, "Jennifer" called me saying that my social security number and name was involved in a drug and money laundering scandal in Texas. Mind you I live no where near Texas. She wanted my personal information to give me a new social security number or I would be arrested on federal charges. I laughed and told her make sure my ticket is first class
