GE Capital Bank continues to call my cell phone requesting a return phone call and when I call them back I have been told that they are in error of calling and say that the number has been removed from call list but the calls continue to increase in numbers daily. I have been assured by 2 separate phone people that my number has been removed and will not be called again. Still calling.

This number is a computer-call, and when it gets my answering machine, it never waits for the beep. Like clockwork, I never get a name, just a partial of an address and a phone number. And no reason for the call. Oh, and the number it is calling from is NOT the same as the one given.

They have called my number RELENTLESSLY for several weeks, this is actually GE Capital Bank. I recently got my phone number, just got a new phone. Obviously the person that had this number skipped out. After many, many attempts to reach a live person, and not having the former owners SS#, I resorted to talking gibberish into the phone. This was the only way to get to a real person and attempt to make the calls stop. Just did it today, hope it works. If it doesn't, I'll try the cease and desist letter, and report to the FCC

I called back and a man with a very heavy foreign accent asked for my SS and account # he called themselves syncricity bank. I refused to give them info   He said they are new and GE Capital changed their name. I told him if that were true I would have been notified by mail so delete my number or I will notify authorities. He stated he can't notify me by mail unless he has my account info. I hung up.

The card fraud telephone scam is a new variation on an old style scam that involves people being telephoned by fraudsters and duped into handing over their debit or credit card, and revealing their PIN.

    How does the scam happen?

A fraudster rings you, claiming to be from your bank, saying their systems have spotted a fraudulent payment on your card or that your card is due to expire and needs replacing.

You may be asked to ring back using the phone number on the back of your card - which further convinces you the call is genuine. However, the criminal keeps the line open at their end so, when you make the call, you are unknowingly connected straight back to the fraudster.

Then, by seeming to offer assistance, the fraudster tries to gain your trust. In most cases you are asked to ‘cancel’ your existing card or ‘activate’ or ‘authorise’ a replacement card by keying your PIN into your phone’s handset.

I am receiving calls from a 937-534-2092. With a message to return their call at 866-419-9370 #. I finally did call and was put on hold by a computer, then told that all reps were busy and to call back. They call morning to night 2-3 times a day. They claim to be Synchrony bank. Which I think was/is aligned with Wal-Mart credit cards. I am going to block the # on my phone. Thank you to everyone who reported this it is so helpful to know this is a scam. Makes me angry to think someone may give them information and become a victim.

I have received 41 calls from this number since 1/13/15...they have been told several times that the person they want is not at my number. Today is the last straw...I have all calls listed on my home account and will now be filing harassment charges in our courts.

I get a call from 866-419-9370 and 937-523-2092 via Sorenson Videophone and asked me my name, acct and social security number to check my account.  I refused to give out information through a phone call late after 830pm.I already paid once full billing two weeks ago.  THey henpecked called me EVERY night.  My stomach was upsetting.  If they call again,  I will call FCC and authorized to file a charge against the Sychrony Bank, Discount Tires and JCPenney that I signed up that credit cards.

I got a voice mail this morning from this people. Claiming that I was approved for 5000 and that it was deposited into my account provided by ME on the application.
First off I don't have a bank account at this time
Second off when I tried to tell the guy with such a heavy NON English speech that I had never applied for a loan he got pissy and hung up on me.
I have been dealing with issues about my ID and I am hoping that somebody did not open up a account in my name.
Time to check the credit reports again.
