Keep receiving calls from this number, "Consumers Energy Credit", 866.565.6001

They think I live somewhere else, and they think I AM somebody else!  Stop calling me.

They called twice today, left no message. If it was consumers energy, usually they leave a message. Doesnt seem legit to me.

I got called twice also. There was no message left either. I hope it's Consumers Energy and not some creepy scammer :/

This number calls my husband's cell number.  We haven't had this call in a while now all of a sudden it's popping up again.  Woke him up at 9:00 AM, he works 2nd shift. It won't call our landline phone.  I know it's Consumers, had to look it up again.  Don't know what they want, no message.  We're just not going to answer!!

If you call it back it goes to a recording and you can tell them you're not whoever.

Thanks for this info!  Just received a call on my cell from this number.  Glad I didn't answer it!

This number has called several times message said, this is consumers energy credit department, recites account number then says thank you and hangs up. Sounds real,so be careful.

Thanx for the info.  I have been getting many calls from this number and never answer.  It shows up as 'Toll free caller' on CID.  I get at least 6 calls a day from various numbers and every one of them I check the web for complaints.  They all show up as scammers.  Soooooooo sick of this crap!!!

I did not answer the call.. It was on my cell phone.

Keep getting these calls too. Good thing I looked on here and saw that this number is scammers pretending to be Consumers Energy. Thanks for the info!!! I won't be falling for this or answering!

IF you get a call from this number, I suggest you check with Consumers right away.  Your power may actually be on the verge of being shut off.

Got 2 calls in one day, don't answer numbers I don't recognize.  They left a message as Consumers Energy Credit and had important information concerning "my account".  They requested I call them back and that I have my account number ready when I call.  I did not return the call.  

This is Consumers Energy Credit Dept. They are an Electric Company in Mid Michigan. They are calling because the account is past due.

It is a scam because I checked my consumers account and nothing is wrong with it.

Received two calls, first at 6:00AM. Didn't answer either one. Second one left automated robocall-type Consumer's Energy message (curtailed, not complete). Went online and checked my Consumer's Energy account...zero balance due. After following link above to article where CE asked folks to call them to report, I called CE to report this potential scammer, but the customer service folks' "give-a-s**t" factor seemed non-existent and got passed from rep to rep with extended hold; finally decided not worth my time to pursue and hung up.... Blocked number so it can't call me again.
