- Fake Jake12-6-16 12:59 PST CID= "Bank of America" and calling number. Blocker set to block all 888 area code numbers. Bank of America will never initiate a call to one of their customers, but Merrill Edge (the investment side of BofA) will. I have them blocked as well. Don't be fooled folks. If you do not recognize the calling number, do not answer it. Well even if you do know who the calling number is, maybe u do not want to talk 2 them. I even had my wife's sister (she is a pest at best) blocked until she caught me. :o) LOL. Have a grand day now.

- JanA man, named David Gacy (spelling?), talked very fast, and left this number for someone unknown. The company name was possibly Merrill, and it sounded like a marketing call.
- Caller: ??Merrill ...

- RobertThey are probably legit. I am indeed a Merrill customer, but I don't know the particular caller from Adam, and I'm busy. The recording just said he wanted to talk over some things, so I assume they weren't calling to report a security breach or anything urgent.
- Caller: Merrill
- ToraNever answered any calls from unknown #s. Didn't pick up and no voicemail but got an email from someone right after saying he was from Merrill Edge and tried to reach me, didn't say why but he mentioned his role is to "help customers to learn more about the capabilities of Merrill Edge", so I'd assume it was just a marketing call. I am indeed a customer but seriously, sales calls are annoying. I don't even answer any personal calls at work since my office is super open, let alone from the unknown #s.

- Stop calling usCaller stated he was calling from Merrill Lynch, caller ID shows Bank of America. Caller stated he was calling from Baltimore. I became suspicious at receiving a call at 08:36 before any Bank of America is open, much less we haven’t any business with this bank. I claimed I have issues with identity theft and felt I was being scammed and I hung up.
- StephenIf you have a Merrill Edge account, you may receive this call.
It is legit, as they are wanting to go over some product information that you might not know about.
It's really up to you to see if you want to talk to them.- Caller: Merrill Edge

- FrankGot a voicemail from a different number asking me to call this number and dial an extension there; claiming to be a "Joe" from Merrill Edge. Dialing it got a sort of correct-sounding automated routing system, the extension wasn't available, then I was eventually routed to a woman. She tried to get me to tell her my social security number to look up her account; when I resisted she was able to find my account by my phone number that I was calling from (supposedly). Then she asked me to tell her my phone number "for verification purposes" so that she can send me a 6 digit code.
Absolutely a scammer trying to phish for investment account information- Caller: Scammer
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- kahClaimed to be calling from Merrill Edge. Gave this number, with an extension to call back, in a voicemail. Fast talking, poor grammar. Very bullying tone. Called to multiple phones & left multiple voicemails. On one, they did not hang up and we heard the same rote message left as a voicemail 3 times (from different 'rep' names) !!!
