I received a post card stating if I did not call the coverage on my vehicle would lapse and that failure to activate coverage means I'd be financially liable for any and all repairs after warranty expires.  It's made to look like it comes from a Vehicle Service Division.

I just received a letter demanding me to call immediately for coverage on my vehicle.  I am sick to death of notifications intimidating me to call for coverage,

I've received several letters with regard to my factory warranty expiring.  My car is 23 years old.  I knew it was a scam before googling the 1-800 number.  I'm posting this to warn the public.

I also received a mail asking to call 1-888-535-0247 for my car "coverage".  It also provide a check worth $199.00.  However, the bottom of this check with a very small font said :"THIS IS NOT A CHECK".

Junk mail telling me the coverage on my vehicle was about to expire, etc. and to call this number.

received snail mail notification regarding a 2024 Hyundai Tucson "FINAL NOTICE" of extended warranty expiration and that I am to call the 888-535-0247 WITH THE VIN #.  Jokes on them - I don't even own a vehicle, let alone a Tucson.  Be careful out there.

This is all BS. Years ago, I bought a used car From A New Car Dealer. Actually a former classmate of my husband. The warranty was great. But the discussion took place at the dealership, and was part of the financing. We actually did need to use it once and it really saved us money. These fools think they can just fast talk people into thinking they actually bought an extended warranty and now it is time to renew it. A reputable dealer would spend time explaining what it covers, what is and not covered. I don't buy cars from corner car lots.where the lot just fixes them enough to get them moving off the lot without a tow truck.

9/23/2025 same letter in the mail today say warranty ran out on my 2015 Ford Explorer. Funny I never owned a 2015 Explorer.

I received a call to my mail today saying my warranty was expired with a voucher of $199. Besides I have been receiving calls stating the same.

A car warranty scam. Got mail insisting I act now or my warranty would expire. I no longer own the car they referenced.
For fun, I called to get a warranty on a 2015 "Rolls Canardly" instead. The rep was unfamiliar so I explained, it Rolls down one hill and Canardly make it up the next.
It took him a while and I gather he didn't think it was as humorous as I did. Go figure.

Did that post car(d) actually state an "insurance lap(se)" or did it refer to an automobile warranty having expired (as the other posts here do)?
Auto insurance and auto warranties are two different things.
It is doubtful that the scammers that have run this auto warranty scam for over a year have changed their scam since the last post three weeks ago.

I just got one today. It doesn't say anything about insurance or warranty. Just "This letter is to inform you that the coverage on your 2014 Ford F150 may be expiring or may have already expired."

These are usually spam mailings attempting to get you to buy extended warranties on your car.  Some are out and out scams.  Here's some advice from the FTC on these scams:

I received a post card in the mail with the phone number shown above.  This company tried to run their warranty scam with me two years ago.  The address they gave me, 100 Mall Parkway in Wentzville, MO is a vacant building.  They are the worst type of scam criminals.  I'm filing complaints with the FCC and the Federal Trade Commission.  I hope they all get arrested.
