- pianoplayer| 1 replySCAM. I Received a call from this number claiming to be Bank of America. Checked the number they wanted called back 800-918-8520 and there are many people on this site who had called the number on their card and Bank of America told them this was a scam. Do not call the number back or provide any information.

- ChrisClaimed to be Bank of America. Did not catch first name, but last name was "Jessup". When I refused to give any information, they said they understood and for me to call my number on the back of my card and they would "get me over" to the caller's department. Scam, I am sure.

- saraReceived a call claiming to be Bank of America - and asking me to confirm my information. I stated I could not provide any information since I had no way of knowing who was calling me. They stated to call the number on the back of one of my BoA cards and I would be routed to the right "department." The lady stated her name was Alicia Rice.....trying to call BoA, but on hold. I imagine if I can't get to customer service, BoA isn't calling me to tell about the benefits they can offer. ;)

- NotADummyThis number called me stating they’re from Bank of America and needed me to “return a call” by so and so date/time. She stated her name was Alicia Rice. I called the number back and they want you to put in your account number and/or social security number (DON’T DO IT) - I just put in “1234” and got connected to an associate who I bitched out for wasting my time. - JoReceived two calls from 888-729-7123 on two separate occasions, both from a BofA representative, sounding very professional and left a call back number of 800-918-8520. A couple of weeks ago I called the BoA number in the bank of my card and asked the reason for the call from the mentioned number. They said, they did not call me and that my account is in good standing. Clearly this is a SCAM call. DO NOT CALL BACK.

When I say that I would not provide any information until I could verify the validity of the call and that I would contact Bank of America myself all they did was state that they understood it and they had a number for me to call back no thank you total scam.

- KRI hate to admit that I answered this call thinking it was Bank of America. Thankfully, I didn't give them to much info - they asked if I was having any hardship with paying my cc bill and then referred me to the Better Money Habits tool on the BofA website.
I called Bank of America, and they confirmed that it was a scam, but my account should be OK.
