This number is Verizon telemarketing!!

I answered call (there have been numerous calls from this number) and, this time held while a recording said "Please hold, your call is important to us".  About 15 seconds later a voice identified itself representing Verizon and wanted the last 4 numbers of my SSN.  I said now and asked the purpose of the call.  I haven't been a Verizon customer in over 3 years.  He wouldn't tell me the purpose of the call until he got my SS digits.  I refused and hung up.  I've now blocked the number.

Same here!  Claiming to be Verizon and wanting last 4 of my SSN.  I asked them how they got my number and they just kept saying they need to confirm my verizon account.  Told them I don't have a verizon account and they said "sorry for the mistake" and hung up.

DEFINITELY a Fishing SCAM!!!  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!

Tell those F's to F OFF!

Kept getting calls wanting me to pay a balance I don't owe. First the calls started from "Unavailable" then "Restricted" the the 855 number.

Want my SSN, told them to forget about, ain't happening..

Said they were Verizon... Yeah, right...

Who the hell is this!!!! Should stop calling or will get SUED!!! Stupid people ruining our lives..

i havent answered but get this call everday at same time annying as h== dont know how to block it but ill learn  i agree we all need to complian to verizon maybe?

I think is a scam. They said they were from verizon, but I don't even have a verizon account under my name. When I told the person that, he said that they had the wrong person.

The guy called, said he was from Verizon, asked for Amber, when I said no Amber at this number he
wanted the last 4 digits of my social security number to remove me from the calling list but refused to identify himself other than representing Verizon.  I called Verizon the next morning and reported it.

I received a call from this number today. Said they were Verizon wireless and needed me to confirm my account information including social security number. I am a T mobile customer - I told them I don't know why they are calling me, and I am not giving them any information, so they quickly hung up. I then called the number back and someone else answered, who said that they were trying to confirm if I was the correct person they were looking for, and that they had tried calling me 40 times, and cannot remove me from their call list until I give them my information, so I will continue to receive calls from them?!!

"Area code 855 is a future area code reserved for toll-free calls in which the calling party is not charged. Instead, the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party. Toll-free numbers, such as 855 numbers, have applications such as technical support, customer service, and personal use."

Don't answer the phone for this number! They are not even paying the bill for the call!

Anyone heard of the FTC?  It's worth a gander.

This person called me on that number, but he asked, "Is this (my full name)?" I said yes, very hesitant. He said his name was Terrance and I said I didn't know one. He then said "Oh, ok. Thank you." Then hung up... I feel very freaked at the moment

This company keeps calling us, about 5 times a day.  They claim to be Verizon but I emailed Verizon and they confirmed that our account was current and there were no issues.  I'm glad to see that other people have had issues with this phone number.  We refused to give them our social and they got all pissed off.  I called Verizon and they confirmed that this phone number is not a Verizon number. DO NOT give them your information.

I continue to receive calls from 855-849-6979, they leave no message and do not response when I pick up.

I have received several calls per day.

This number calls me 7 to 8 times a day, first it was Unknown, then blocked, now an actual number.  When I answer there is no one there and the few times they have left a messge, it is for someone else! SO irritating!

Received call from them today and yesterday. THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM. They claimed to be calling about my Verizon account and immediately asked for the last 4 of my social security number. I verified with Verizon that they would never call us and ask for personal information. These people are most assuredly crimals and are most likely already on parole or probation. Let's nail their [***].

If a human is on the other line when you answer, blow a whistle into the phone. After a couple of times of you doing this to them they will get the hint and stop calling.

I keep asking them to take my number off their list but I keep getting calls.  The last few times they have been very rude or could not speak english well enough for me to understand them.  What can we do about this????

So far they called me 5x yesterday, and 10x today.  So annoying
