Harassing Phone Calls: What To Do

I've been getting calls from Mariott ENDLESSLY. I'm going to  1. BOYCOTT MARIOTT and let them know why. 2. TAPE RECORD THE CALLS and REPORT THEM AS HARRASSMENT. 3. Since I have to find out what company is behind this, I'm going to sign up with them, cancel before the transaction can become permanent and then report it as CREDIT CARD FRAUD if they persist. At that point I will have the company information with which to report them at the state level along with all of the records which will then be sent to MARRIOTT so they can legally SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN. Go ahead and call me now, fellas. I'm waiting for you!

I dated a guy a while back and we broke up a little over 10 years ago.  To this day, I still get calls from debt collectors looking for him.  We lived together but were never married.  Is this legal?  Will it ever stop?

I have been receiving all sorts of phone calls for a lady that must have given my phone number as hers. I've answered some of these calls, I have asked who it was they were calling for, how they received my number and if there's a way to take me off their call list they just simply hang up, I guess that right there tells you that most likely know that they are doing I've only had one time the person has actually said I apologize I will put you on the list and hung up.  I add these numbers to spam phone call number and block the call  they just simply call back from another line. I've called my phone company about this and they say that I can add this to a block list but I can't stop these calls from coming. I tried to find out if there's some sort of way to backtrace the source company that all these other companies have received my phone number through, my phone provider said no but I don't believe that, there's got to be some channel of tracking back to this   company that sells your phone number to others.

97 pages of "me too."  Wow.  Go to your phones little app store, look up "call blocker", and install it.  Social media for phone spam - others make reports, it blocks it for you.  Done.

do not call is another scam, they do nothing at all, Lisa Madigan, I believe, started this,, and it does nothing, have called more than once, is a laugh,, just a way of getting votes at election time

I would think March of Dimes would be raising cain about this outfit claiming to be from their charity--when it suits them. Charities are struggling to keep up with donations as it is--let alone being scammed by these scumbags.

That sounds like a good idea, only thing they might turn around and do it to you so don't answer with the phone too close to your ear :-)

For the last 2 days I have been getting calls on my cell from a obviously fake number.(523-334-051432) The first time I answered without looking at the caller ID. It was a woman who didn't speak English. I told her she had the wrong number and hung up. She called back 3 times in a row. Now the number is calling me at 6AM. Today whoever this is called at 5:30AM, just kept calling over and over, had to turn my phone off. I called my cell provider(Net 10) and they don't offer any help.

At times I get calls from "private call', sans name or number.  I do not answer, but the calls keep coming.

I'm getting the same call 3 or more times a week on my phone and my parents and when i told him the FBI was tracing the call he said the FBI could suck his, member (must be small), because he's gonna call as often as he wants no matter what i do and if i block him he'll just call from another number. That i can't get rid of him that easily. He's indian and calling from an invalid num, outside the US so i can't stop him, i'd very much like to use an air horn the next time he calls and it's always the same guy!!!!

Comcast will NOT help.  TRUST ME.  The best they will do is ONCE a year as a courtesy change your number, but you have to have proof that you are getting calls....
