Just block the 876 area code. Unless you know someone in Jamaica, that is.

Just got my call from a man named "Tony" and yes he had a Jamaican accent that he was trying to hide. He said I won $900 and a new Mercedes, only needed to pay for the processing and delivery fee, to have it dropped off today. He hung up when I asked some questions. I called him back and he hung up again after giving me the same lines.
I recieved a call today from Paul Cooper with American Shopper's Network telling me that I won $350,00.00. in a drawing from Walgreens. He told me since I had spent over $7.00 at either Walgreens or Walmart that I had been eligible for this drawing. He also assured me that this was not a hoax. I know all about these scams. My Mom had dementia and trust me I know all about this crap. So I said to him "So Paul, if this isn't a hoax, then you wouldn't have a problem talking to my husband, who happens to be a State Police Officer" Well, the phone went dead. Yes, I reported the phone call. SO, never ever believe anyone calling you that you have won money. SCAM..
Did you also post in the thread for the number "Paul Cooper" called you from? If not, please do so. This website is phone number-based and more people will benefit from a post in the correct number thread than a post in this one.
how can we help to stop these people. I did not send them any money but they are sound legit. It makes me mad that they can continue to get away with this
Do you really think someone who posted 8 years ago will return to answer your questions?
