876 number - You won the American Shopper's Network Sweepstakes

I received a call today from a law frim calle Luther Anderson telling me that I had won a prize for $175,000.00 and the check had been canceled,but could be reprocessed if I sent $485.10. she also said that the check would be from Bank Of America and gave me the check # which I though was odd because of the amount of numbers, so I asked for the bank number to comfrim, it was a 202 area code and she was calling from Chattanoga Tn. So I call and the guy said the same thing, not yet cunvincet I called Bank of America 800# and told her what was said and she said red flags but asked me to hold on when she came back on said there is no 202-239-5132 in the band system of numbers. so yes Scammm! and said I should contact the police. So that's next.

I was called this morning stating I had won a lot amount of money from American Shoppers Network, he said I had to go the Western Union, or Walmart to purchase $351.63, after that I would be called back, to see if I had received this money, his name he gave was Donald Miller. He stated they were leaving the Federal Building with my money. He asked me what magazines I would like to be here, and if I would like people to that I had won. He stated after they came and had the amount above, I was to sent the check within 24 hours to the following person. His name is George Sammons, 530 East Jackson Ave. Dubin, GA. 30458. Mr. Miller gave me a telephone number to call him if needed ##912-275-5128, which I never called and plan never to do so. Be aware people this was a scam, for when he called back to get information, I told him I was on the computer and the whole thing was a scam, boy did he hang up fast, and I mean fast, 4/20/2011

I received a call tonight claiming to be the american shoppers network. I won $2.5 million and someone would be here tomorrow to give me the check but I had to pay the shipping and handling fee (what?) and a 1% fee. I said 1% of what, and he said of the fee, that they pay 99% all I had to pay was the 1%. Then he said he had to look up what that would be (insert the sound of loudly shuffling papers, LOL). He came back and said it would be $125, when I said no, he said that I have to pay a fee, so how much was I willing to pay! (Are you kidding me.) He also said I needed to have the package #, so when the guy showed up tomorrow that I have the validation. He insisted I write it down, so I did. then asked me to repeat it, so I did. But when he kept insisting on the money I finally said if he did not hang up I would call the police, he said go ahead because they would find the business legitimate. I said I have caller ID, and he again claimed they were good business, I said fine give me the business phone number and I would call them back. He gives me a phone number and when I check its the same number he called me from 876-398-8140. Plus, the package # was the same number! I pointed this out, and he said, of course it is, that way they know that it is the correct package number. Seriously! He never gave me a name. Oh, he tried to give me the, I have to get this package delivered and get this fee because it was for his family, and he wanted to take them on vacation to hawaii, so please do this. Yet the whole time he was aggressive and actually got mad when I questioned the 1% fee. At the end, he said good, call back and sounded so sure of himself that I was going to. Whatever

who if anyone is working this case?????? I need to make a report I have lots of info we were scammed thousands of dollars, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF A FEDERAL AGENT IS WORKING ON THIS!!!!!

Hey, that same guy from 876-455-7702 called me, too. Said I won from US Federal and to send money Western Union. I'm changing my phone number. Also, reporting him to the police and AT &T. It makes me nervous how he got my cell phone number in the first place.

I got two different calls today, also claiming as a WalMart shopper that I had won $975,000 and also had been notified thru the mail of this win.  She said her name was Jane Oak of Oak Law office3 in Los Angeles, CA and that she was calling me about the "Certified Check" she had been autorized to pay to me or I would face the cancellation of the winnings.  Her phone # 1-323-739-2036.  She said I could research her and get back to her.  A previous caller has called on a #1-876-447-2922 (Out of Area) all on my caller ID.  Fat chance that I will return either of their calls and asked them to remove me from their calling lists.  I'm sure that won't happen but thought to try.  Folks out there beware!!!!

I got a phone call to about 2.5 millon to. I like to know if how some one can do this to hurt people & call my cell phone it really stupid & leave a message. They got balls to stupid. I don't wast my time.

Call your local FBI office or Secret Service office and file a complaint.   Though it's an overseas scam, it wouldn't hurt filing a report with local law enforcement as well.    It's almost a sure bet there is an open case on these scammers.

I just got a call from 773-541-9983, American Shoppers network, that I won 175,000., that Bank of America had a Cehck for me.  Glad that I had google this .. lol.  Thanks for all the post about the fraud.

I also received several phone calls about me winning the N.Y. lottery. I had to pay western union $365 for info needed to collect in order for the courrier to give me my check.  Then a different lady called back and stated I needed to buy a prepaid Visa card for the same amount and hand that to the courrier.  I told the lady that real winnings do not require payment up front.  The numbers they called from were 1876-303-6060     1876-446-8692   1876-360-8611    Be careful when it comes to believing that you won a lottery or sweepstakes that you do not remember signing up for.

we have received several phone calls from rev paul washington from american shoppers network wanting to deliver us a new car and 2.5 million dollars forthe sum of 780.00 dollars to send to them by western union. i have told them no several times and they just keep calling . i will be contacting my police dept.

I got a call today saying I won 278,000.00 and a car but first I need to wire money to Texas and then in an hour and a half my prize would be here they even asked me what color car I wanted. I was going to do it but I thank the Lord that I looked it up first. I mean it was only 199.00 and he told me that they would refund my money as soon as they delieved the prize. They all say trust me.

My 81 year old father is being harrassed by these people every damn day..This is crazy. Thank you for your posting.

Thank you so much for the information I almost booked a flight to flordia thinking I was a winner as well. Thank You, Thank You, you certainly saved me from making a foolish mistake I wanted to be a winner so bad, but I would have turned out to be a looser.
