- Chris| 2 replies"876" AREA CODE IS THE JAMAICA SCAMMERS...........
simple and easy to understand....so get it through your thick heads !!!! ( long time scams from this area code for years ) - lone stranger replies to JGHaving recently watched a friend drift off into the fog of Alzheimer' Disease, please allow me to offer my sincere sympathy and best wishes for both of you.
- Not Even!| 1 replyI got a call today from Jamaica, honestly people, if you send those kinds of calls money, you deserve to get ripped off by them. This was too obvious, especially when its 2012 outside with scams like that being outdated, I really don't see how anyone can send them money. Please don't make yourself feel stupid and do 2 minute researches on anything you never heard of from a reliable source before.
- look out replies to not Michael| 13 repliesMy mother also got a call from a Robert Reynolds from American Shoppers Award stating she had won 2.5 million and a BMW thru a thing with CVS and first tried to get her to send $500 to get it. He kept calling and wouldn't take no for an answer. She finally had the state police come to her house and talk to the man. He still claimed to be from american shoppers award in Los Angeles, california and said a man named John Crow would be delivering a check to her house the next day and escorting her to the bank to deposit it and then taking her to the BMW dealer to pick up her new car. After the police hung up the phone, the guy even called the state police post and had them forward his call back to the policeman that was at her house. The cop ran his SS# and anything else he could get from him and told the guy that they were sending the LAPD to his residence to pick him up and he still said the same thing that she has won the money and to go ahead and send the police because its all true and he had nothing to hide and it wasn't a scam. Of course he even sent a copy of the so called check from Bank Of America and pics of her new BMW and a link to their website to verify who he was. These people are getting really brave or just plain stupid. I would love to see these people get caught.
- mustlooklikeasuckerHad 3 calls in the last week trying to give me anywhere from 1.5 mil to 5.5 mil. the first guy said his name was Tony Parker and the last guy called twice in 2 days and his name was Kevin. They are only trying to get some money out of desperate peoples pockets. They need to be put away and throw away the key. Scammers are some of the worst humans I have ever had the opportunity to have any contact with. They prey on peoples situation.

A Dozen Ways to Protect Yourself
The next time you get a "personal" letter or telephone call telling you "it’s your lucky day," the Federal Trade Commission encourages you to remember that:
Legitimate sweepstakes don’t require you to pay or buy something to enter or improve your chances of winning, or to pay "taxes" or "shipping and handling charges" to get your prize.
If you have to pay to receive your "prize," it’s not a prize at all. - ketta| 5 replieswell i received a a phone call less than 20 mins ago saying i won 3.5 million dollars from this number 7024900149. they didn't ask me to buy or send them anything. they didn't even ask me any information other than confirming my address i didn't even give them my address they already had it they repeated my info to me. they said i was the 3rd winner in Michigan and that they will be at my house tomorrow to present me with my money.. i know this a scam

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt148.shtm - Kelly| 1 reply**Beware of this SCAM** I just received a phone call (Private Number) from an Arabic gentleman named "Billy Jones" who claims he is from American Network Sweepstakes. He "claims" I won a trip of some sort. At this point I knew it was a Scam and asked for the corporate office name & phone number to request to be removed from the calling list. He hung up. So I called him back and asked him to never call me again. He proceeded to cuss me and say very provocative things. He has since tried to call my house 3 more times!!! His phone number is 876-356-0194. Dont give these guys any of your information!!!!!!!!
