Yellow Pages scam

Just tell them you will file with ftc, bbb and attonery general of the state you are in if u paid them call back ask for refund

There is a new one out there now called City Yellow Pages. They are the rudest people ever. Bryan Smith - in one phone call told me to shut up.
We have been scammed before and I have learned the hard way. If you want to have fun, look up the domain name on Go Daddy, sometimes you can find the originator and start calling him. For City Yellow Pages it is Ernest Baker, and he runs a fake collection agency. With this company the scums that call tell you they are paralegals and the next step is to go to court in New Jersery, funny- this man lives in Florida. Sometimes I even call the manager of their virtual office and let them know that maybe they rent to a scammer. Most usually the web site is new or only registered in the last six months. I think all yellow page scams are the same people with the same list and they call you from the new company when they cann't scare you into paying.
We have - to date- dealt with 12 of these yellow page scams. It gets very old. I wish there were some stiffer laws to help , us the small business owners deal with these people. So far we can use the BBB, FTC and the Attorney General of the state they are operating in.

I just got one fake invoices (dated Feb. 27/14) in today's mail.
They claim to be in Mahon, Cork, Ireland but if you look at the postage-paid postmark on the envelope, it is from Germany.
Some of the more obvious things in its fakery: 1) it does not have my business complete address (only the street number, which is how I am listed in the free online business listing sites such as Yellowee, etc. 2) it lists Yellow Pages web address in Canada as "www.yellow-page-canada.com" The correct web address for Yellow Pages in Canada is yellowpages.ca -- no hyphens; pages not page; and .ca not .com. 3) and the kicker? my usual YP listings cost me $360/yr. This so-called invoice is for $1548.00. Next most juicy bit? It says Date of Order: 2013-02-07, Delivered since: 2013-02-21, so that would be for 2 weeks' worth of listings! I'm SO glad these idiots don't have my full address, and I always screen my calls, anyways... but really???

Have you notified the real Yellow Pages Canada? They can probably get the fake site's domain name taken away from them.

I've seen that 'abuse@web.com' connected with other scam sites-like the work-at-home spam links!

Don't give in!!! They use bullying tactics to try to get your money. This company makes millions on preying on small businesses every year. They misrepresent themselves as being a part of the yellow pages so you think that you are just confirming your info and next thing you know, you get a huge invoice in the mail. Mine was for just under $1000!! We have friends that are lawyers (thank goodness), that have sent them a 'cease & desist' letter and spoken to the rep directly that has been harassing & threatening us that the money will be collected by 'third party creditors' every single day. He has told her (and CanPages) that any attempt to contact us by phone, mail or email, will constitute harassment and that we will seek a class action lawsuit. We know many, many people who have experienced the same and are willing to take this company down!! I'm quite certain that we won't be hearing from them again:)

Ask them to produce your signed contract. If they tell you it was a verbal agreement, just tell them that you will not pay a cent and that they can try to take you to court. If they threaten you with a third party credit collections, get a cease and desist letter sent to them. If charges come off your credit card, call the credit card company and they'll reverse them.

I got a letter from Yellow Pages united at my office.  I was in a rush and did not read it fully.  It appeared to be a request to confirm information.  Less than a month after I completed the form I started to receive bills for $396.00.  I was startled, but then check the internet and saw it was scam.  Based on some of the posts I saw I sent a complaint to the BBB in Atlanta and to my Attorney General.  Within two weeks I received a letter to say that the invoice was cancelled and I did not own anything.

Please avoid .com Agents as its a scam company (Namur Metro)

This company I used to work for downtown Lucien L Allier was a huge company and he downsized it has to do with yellow pages and calling up [***] Americans who don t want to be charged for advertising. They moved last year and are on jean talon . Moved so he doesn t get caught and becomes traced . A Haitian guy named Fatty Vlady uses people for his own advantage and does not seem to comprehend that its over saturated and no one will go for the advertising and their computers are prehistoric always problems with the phone lines .

Funny though he advertises under customer service and he even told me there were no sales involved and this fat girl Cali tells me its telemarketing. Fatty Vlady can t seem to be honest & uses his old tricks by luring people and wasting jobseekers time he uses people for a week at a time then lets them go when they sell! How is this customer service when you are selling ? Seriously? We have to register people who don t want to be listed and charged.

He is located at 5005 jean Talon west suite 201 he has 1 employee a black overweight fat [***] named Cali who lies and scams US commercial users who never placed advertising ads he created a page called generalyellowpages.com . Vlady is a fat version of Steve Urkel from Family Matters.
Make sure when you have an appointment you report him to the proper authorities as its a scam
There is no commission and Cal was complaining we should pay her 1$ commission from other employees pockets. My friend has all his clients information and will contact US commercial users
as he took pics with his cellphone. Now most of the US commercial users know his whereabouts

This company is called EMMG and are scamming americans for trial yellow pages advertising which is BS some of the employees even said so please avoid this company many employees didn t even get paid and have been reported to Norme De Travail he is scum and a scam artist who will be reported to the proper authorities
