Yellow Pages scam

You look like someone who once worked for this scammer, are you srill there or have you moved on?

This dude sounds mean and very unhappy to be scamming all those nice people here in the USA.

So are you reporting them locally, and to the authorities in Canada to show them your proof, as your message looks real and very honest for all of us on here, that were given the crappy calls you did too?

JUST A SHAME YOU HAVE NO ONE ON THE INSIDE TO REPORT DAY TO DAY AFFAIRS...

PS: Make a video of them, coming and going from office you mention, and post it on YouTube okay.

I AM A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER IN COLORADO.  IN MARCH, 2012 I RECEIVED A FAX FROM  YELLOW PAGES USA/OPEN BUSINESS DIRECTORY THAT THEY WERE OFFERING FREE SERVICES FOR POSTING YOUR BUSINESS ON THEIR SITE.  MY BUSINESS FAX & NAME OF THE COMPANY WERE CORRECT.  I THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST WANTING TO VEERIFY MY BUSINESS INFORMATION.  UNFORTUNATELY I SIGNED IT & FAXED IT BACK.THE COMPANY.  THEN I RECEIVE AN INVOICE FROM THIS COMPANY REQUESTING PAYMENT OF $1,188.00.
TRIED TO CAX SERVICES BECAUSE i DID NOT ORDER IT, COULD NOT USE IT.  SPOKE WITH SOME WOMAN APPARENTLY REPRESENTING THIS SCAM WHO SAID TO WRITE LETTER REQUESTING CANCELLATION.  NO RESPONSE SO I INITIATED A CALL TO THE.  SPOKE WITH THE SAME WOMAN WHO STATED THAT I COULD NOT CANCEL BECAUSE "YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT!"   OPEN BUSINESS DIRECTORY/YELLOW PAGES-USA' LOGO WAS "LET YOUR FINGERS DO THE WALKING."  THEIR LOGO WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THE LEGITIMATE YELLOW PAGES.  I CALLED THE BBS IN BOSTON,WHERE THIS BUSINESS WAS REPORTEDLY OPERATING.  BBB  BOSTON PHYSICALLY WENT TO THE ADDRESS THEY HAD DOCUMENTED ON THEIR INVOICE.  I WAS TOLD THIS WAS A SCAM, THE ADDRESS HAD NO EMPLOYEES BUTSIMPLY A VOICE MAIL, ONE THAT CAN'T BE REACHED. BBB FURTHER SAID THEY WILL THREATEN A BUSINESS OWNER UNTIL THEY WEAR ONE DOWN & THEN PAYMENT IS SUBMITTED.  THEN THEY WIN!!.  I WAS ALSO TOLD BY BOSTON'S BBB THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH THEM & THEY MAY CONTINUE TO HARRASS A BUSINESS FOR YEARS.  IT IS NOW JULY 2014 & I JUST RECEIVE MY "EIGHTH REMINDER" FROM THIS COMPANY TODAY THREATENING (AGAIN), TO TAKE ME TO COURT TO COLLECT THE $1,238.00 I SUSPOSEDLY IN ADDITION TO A $50.00 REMIMNDER FEE.  THEY'RE GRASPING @ STRAWS NOW BECAUSE THIS IS APPROXIAMTELY THE FIFTH TIME THEY'VE THREATEN TO TAKE ME TO COURT & I HAVE NOT RESPONED TO ANY OF THEIR INVOICE FAXES.  OBVIOUSLY A SCAM.   PLEASE DON'T LET THESE FOOLS INTIMIDATE YOU & DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING.  BOSTON'S BBB SAID THEY HAVE NO CREDIBIILITY, ARE NOT LEGITIMATE & HAVE NO WAY OF RUNING ONE'S BUSINESS OR CREDIT RATING.  ONE'S BUSINESS CREDIT OR PERSONAL CREDIT WILL NOT BE RUINED NOR CAN THE COMPANY TAKE ONE TO COURT TO COLLECT BECAUSE IT'S A SCAM.  APPARENTLY, THEY'RE PRIMARY OFFICES ARE LOCATED IN DUBAI & SWITZERLAND.  THEIR FRAUDULANT BUSINESS LOCATIONS CHANGE EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS.

One, turn off Caps Lock and stop yelling (typing all in caps is considered yelling). Two, you already know it's a scam so you can tell them if they call again that you know this. Calm down and take a deep breath please.

I WAS sued.  Get a lawyer

Ellen, how's the lying scammer business doing? Getting any repeat business? How's that word of mouth advertising that says that this company and all their personnel are a bunch of lying thieves?

SO--How about the court where it was held as well (including docket number)  as the name & other information  of the company that sued you.

Maybe it was  Con, Art & Ist.

Aren't I lucky that's one of the few scam calls I don't get. And if it's yellow pages that got caught then that means so did whitepages I think. If I'm wrong please reply back to me on here. Also whitepages terms of service is out of date as they changed stuff on the site that's not listed on there terms of service.

We might want to be clear on what's meant by "white pages" and "yellow pages" now as opposed to the Ma Bell monopoly era. Anyone under a variety of names with a printing press can and does produce a bound phone directory, often just a glorified advertising vehicle and usually not comprehensive. Any fool with an autodialer can pretend to publish said directories or supply customers to a publisher or send ad copy to an online version.

I have been called many times and decided to try Yellow Pages,the said they had over 3500 calls per months in Renovations,a ad was placed and was costing me around 125$ per month,well i recieved 3 calls in 1 year,and no contract or job did i recieve from those 3 calls,now i am been taken to court this month and expect me to pay 2995.00$,the worst part. I called to cancel after my 3 month trial and specifically advise the person on the phone i wasnt continuing with their services and i was told they would delete my ad all would be ok, Damn liars,and i got many calls and letters and simply ignored it,i even called and spoke to a manager and even he was totally a [***] HEAD,saying i never called to cancel my contract after my 3 month trial,so people should be careful with online advertising,if you in Canada want to Advertise and Actually get clients. HOMESTARS.COM it cost about 200$ per month,but with all the calls and work contracts that get signed every day and week,no need to go elsewhere anymore,so Yellow Pages you are loosing clients and hope you all get a taste of what you do and did to small enterprises,
