Good!  It’s nice to see the scammers receive justice. It doesn’t happen enough.

… and is it wrong that I’m imagining their punishment should be …cutting down trees with a herring?
    😉

We should start out by weighing them. And if they weight the same as a duck...

I'm an American so I feel some kind of way about being the only one in a room thats full of Brits, to correct your spelling error of "Ni". Of course everyone present VERY well recognizes your "attempted" reference comes from one of the funniest movies that humankind has EVER created on film, the Best and most BRILLIANT classic offering from all  the works of Monty Python's Flying Circus, "The Search for the Holy Grail". Even I, the uncultured American in the room, appreciate and applaud the source of your mis-spelled comment. The correct spelling of the word that The Knights who say it, is "Ne". 🤨 Nice try though.  just saying🥴

What makes you think the "room" is full of Brits? And as for the "spelling error", where do you get the idea it's actually "ne"? Every single reference I could find spelled it as Yef did.

Wasn't there a fraud topic for this thread?

I believe the post by "siX" could be placed into the fraud category for butchering such a masterpiece and trying to promote it as fact. I will offer another tidbit of reading.

If you are going to be a humble bragging, pompous, self-congratulatory asp, you might want to brush up on your proofreading for spelling and punctuation.

"thats"? "Mis-spelled"? And you forgot the cap "j" in just saying. Amateur. Kinda ruins the effect you were after as the Demanding Expert, bless your heart.

As pleasing as it is to see scammers busted, especially those using phones or other forms of telecommunication, the victories are Pyrrhic in that the culprits receive little in the way of punishment or jail time and any fines usually get reduced or eliminated when they claim they can't afford to pay them all the while they resume their operations under one or more new entity names.

Still, we can remain as vigilant as possible and look out for those we know are more vulnerable or susceptible to these scams.

Well, thanks for that "fly-in-the-ointment" commentary  🙄, as I am sure it is a nice encouragement for those who like to preach about "how da gobmint don neva do nuthin", now they got a tidbit like" great they got 'em, too bad they will get away with it anyway" to chew on.
