The FCC right now is considering a request that would throw open the door for a new form of robocalls: ‘ringless voicemails’ that would bypass your ringtone and go straight to your voicemail, filling it with pre-recorded political campaign messages, annoying sales pitches, and other unwanted spam calls.

Four years ago we stopped a similar request by flooding the FCC with consumer opposition. Help us do it again by signing our petition now —we only have days to tell the FCC to kill this horrible idea once and for all!

Sign our petition to the FCC and members of Congress to close the loophole and update the law. We need to keep working to bury unwanted robotexts and robocalls once and for all!

Why did you not put this in one of the other forum threads for ringless voicemail instead of starting a new one? Especially 23 days after the deadline?

Perhaps "Bears-den" posted this for readers with working time machines who could pop back before the deadline and sign their petition (for which the time traveler will also have to be psychic to know where it is).
More likely they are just doing a cut and paste of something they saw posted on Facebook or received in an email and they just had to tell everyone; so they started a new thread because they want the credit for letting all of us know about it.

Most likely it is a one hit wonder as well and will never be back.

My time machine needs a new flux capacitor or I'd get right on this. 😸
