Linda, this is a crime! It is called extortion and/or robbery. The problem is that they are not easy to find. Otherwise, they would all be rotting in an Indian jail by now. And I'm quite sure that their jails are not the country clubs we call prisons in this country. Someday, someone will figure out where they are and then they will all be put away, one by one. Criminals always seem to think they are smarter than law enforcement, sorry to say they are not. Never underestimate your opponent. The problem with this is that I'm sure the Indian government couldn't care less what is happening. If they did, this wouldn't be happening. It's probably some kind of income for the government there, just like the drug trade in Colombia helps the government so the Colombian government protects them. Money can make most people corrupt and immoral.

I too was part of this scam and reported it to FTC.  Please do not give any info to his number.  They use "Nick Holson" or "William Black".  Ihoep the FBI reads this and realizes they are posing as federal agents.

They say that you are involved ina federal court case and then ask for your social bank acouunt whatever.

Thsi si the number 310-362-7054.  I know they are lcoated in California but it comes up unpublished.  If any FBI agents read this post please nail these jerks.  They are posing as Federal Officers - isn;t that another crime that can be added on?

    Ihope you nail these scumbags.

Yes theyc alled at my job.  Very heavy Indian accents.  I took the voicemail that they had the nerve to leave on my cell and gave it right to the police.

The FTC is aware of this.  BY the way they are American.  WHen my boyfriend called the number back they lost their "so called" accent immediately.

My guess is they are phsihing info from your online information.

I hope they get them I reallyd o.

If you go on to you tube and search for fake payday loan scams there are quite a few videos and interviews that have recently been posted.  One in particular was a man that was called by an individual with an indian accent who was threatening arrest.    I believe it was channel 5 news who ran a story on this.  You can watch the man being interviewed and actually hear his phone message from the indian scammer.   Same script as all the rest.   Hope if people can actually see a report and hear actual messages from scammers that this may possibly help them in any way if they are getting these harrassing phone calls.

Sounds like the same guy. He has a heavy accent, but, apparently has an Irish sound name most of the time. The calls stopped for a while and are now starting up again. They are calling me at my job and that is not cool. When I ask them to stop calling and harassing me they start threatening me and trelling me that I'm going to lose my job, go to jail, etc. etc. I have not applied for or taken out any king of ordinary or payday loan so, I don't know how they even got my work number. I am digusted  These people ned to be prosecuted for what they are doing. It is ridiculous!

    Check Protection Services Scammers
BEWARE, its not just the Indian Scammers, its also American Scammers to.  I have had a John Largo to call me several times threatening to Garnish my wages for a bad check he says I wrote to a PayDay Loan Company... I did no such.  Years ago I go a payday loan and paid it back promptly with interest. John Largo is rude, threatening and a coward. He told me I was a bad check writer and screamed at me and called me repeatedly, he claims he is with Check Protection Services, which is a company located in the US. ...He was an American 100% so not only do you have to watch out for the overseas idiots but for the Lazi convict Americans....John Largo is probably a fake name but I researched the company and they are known for scams. ..I also called the payday loan company that I borrowed from years ago and they said, this company is a scam.  So now the Americans are scamming to.

BEWARE OF SCAM FROM CHECK PROTECTION SERVICES, JOHN LARGO.

The first mistake I made was to foolishly apply for a payday loan.  I applied but the 300cash company wanted 19.95 and then they would approve or not approve me for a $200.00 loan and I said, no way. But my application was already out there. Either 300Cash sold it or it was hacked by these scammers. I have Indians and Americans calling me for the past 2 years saying I borrowed $600 and was going to be arrested if I didn't pay them via western union. I knew it was a scam from the beginning and I cussed them and hung up, since then they call and I just scream at them and hang up. They will not call for 2 or 3 months and then the entire things starts up again. Keep in mind, they have no power but to call you. They can't arrest you or take you to court. They are just liars, so hang up on them.
I think we should all be mad about the companies that sell our information. I will never ever apply for anything over the internet again.  Oh, and like another post I read here, the Americans are doing the same thing also.

I've been receiving calls from various numbers over the past 12 months. I've written some of them down, but these people also call from numbers that only have five digits or just zeros for the phone number as well. They always use the same script. They always have an East Indian accent with an American name such as John Hudson, Steven Foster, etc...The first couple of times that they called me, I almost fell for it, but something told me that it was some sort of scam. I'm including a list of the numbers that have called me recently and some that have tried in the last few months.

I also have received many calls from these scammers (for the past year).   They always have the same script lawsuit pending-blah blah blah!    Have indian accents-most are difficult to understand.   I usually call them back and call them on their scam.   Most of them start yelling, and use inappropriate language and I give it right back to them!  That seems to stop the calls for awhile (few weeks).    I am curious does anyone know how these scammers keep passing along our information?  One tries and is not successful so they wait awhile and pass the information along to a different group of scammers?  Or does anyone think they are all one group that just keeps trying?   All work out of one big call center and just keep pushing the information along?   I have visions of these scammers sitting all together with their computers and phones and just keep constantly calling and harrassing people.  When they call there is so much background noise and you can hear other scammers in the background leaving messages for others.   Any information on this subject would be appreciated.  Thanks

+052535595 is the one I'm getting, plus about five others.  I like the AirHorn Approach, hehe.  It seems to have slowed them down a bit.
