Fake payday loan collection scams - Please list new numbers here.

The whole thing is CRAZY !!! They leave messages 5 times a day .. When will they stop ?? Can't believe they have not been shut down. I was really scared at first and then I realized what a scam it was .. Now I just don't answer when a weird number shows up .. You almost can tell it us a random cell phone ...

I am so glad I googled and reached this info.  I have lost sleep for two nights now because a guy named Ricky from that 760 area code number called my cell then called my office.  He asked me for my lawyers's contact info because there was a pending criminal charge against me.  I said I will give it to you if you tell me what this is about.  He said he couldn't tell me and would only speak to my attorney.  I said give me your number and I will call you back.  He did do that.  Only an hour later another guy called back and started yelling at me about 'it's too late; will be serving subpoenaes to you at home and at work.  In the meantime, I did email my attorney who is also a friend.  By the time he called them back to let them know he was my attorney it went into a Magic Jack voicemail.  The next day he called again, identified himself as my lawyer asking what this was all about and he hung up on him.  My lawyer left his contact info for his law offices anyway.  But I was really panicked....I feel better now that I read all of your comments.  These guys had very thick foreign accents and I forgot to mention that the second guy was starting to yell at me when I said that they didn't give me enough time to get back.  The fact that they say they are going to come to my office upset me tremendously.  I work for a healthcare agency and that's about the last thing I need.  Thanks for your comments....

PLEASE SHOW THIS TO YOUR BOSS.  IT IS APPARENTLY THE SAME SECT OF PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT STATES OR USING DIFFERENT NUMBERS.  1st call I got came from Washingon state.  I researched and found the company that provides their phone service; he said he was aware and that they had been reported to the police.  Next call came from San Andrews CA.  I was not at home and called back after telling the guy not to call me anymore.  The next Middle Easterner answered the phone talking about debt collections U.S. division law office.  I said 'CUT THE CRAP, WHAT LAW OFFICE"  He responded with Russel Miller.  I contacted Russell Miller's office in Burlingame, CA.  I was told that they know about it and to contact the Burlingame Police Department.  Today I got a call from 638 884 976840 (too many numbers).  I picked up the phone and said "NO CORRECT NUMBER, NO TALK TO ME".  They called back two hours later and I picked up and said 'F YOU".  You can read other pages where these people are being looked for by the FTC and that it is suspected that they are scamming Americans to fund terroist activity.  YOU NEED TO CALL THE FTC TOO.

I have recived a call from a so called law office (Bucch Berry Associates) with back and forth from the boss (Creg Williams, and assoicate Angela Russle no indian accent. multiple threats from the female and nice guy from well the guy there number is 1-512-623-1996 they claim having an ext#510 and thats what you get in the recording when calling back after hours.

I cant belive these people are so mean they called and said i had 1 hour to give them 835 dollars for a advanced america pay day loan back in 2008, pay day loans have been banned from my state that year i belive. i know i had an account from back then but thought it was taking care of its so far back i cant remmember what happened last year, well the lady said she had the judge waiting to sign a warrent for my arrest and if i paid the money in a hour. they would be able to drop the charges, whats weird is this office is in austin texas i cant find any info on it nor a reverse lookup in the yellow pages dont yeiled anything. after scaring me and threating me i could not trust them after phone three diffrent lawyers who said i was being scammed, so when they called back i told them that, this sitiuation of back and fourth calls from 10 am to 4:30 pm with a book amount of words spoken i dont have enough post space to tell you the whole thing.

Love it, thanks for all your suggestions,  I have posted numerous ways to handle these jerks, I also have a whistle that I blow in their ear everyone time they call me.  I also call them back and blow the whistle, they get so bad and I get great satisfaction.  I will try your ideas.

I am in the same boat with the rest of you!!! I have been getting these phone calls from these [***] since last year and I am sick to death of it!!! These people need to be stopped NOW!!!!! They called from 646-918-5211 this time. The guy was hesitant to give me any info about where they were located. I told them that my attorney wanted their address so she could mail out some paperwork and he proceeded to give me a 7 digit address and mumbled the city, clearly said Virginia and then the stupid prick gave me a Michgan zip code of 48207!!! I was like thats not Virginia zip code thats a Michigan zip code and started to laugh loudly in his ear he got mad and hung the phone up. STUPID LOSER GET A BOOK WITH US ZIP CODES DUMBASS!!!! FAIL!!!!!

I had been getting harrassing calls on my cell phone with all the same threats as everyone else. First, I am a disabled veteran who has been on morhpine and other narcotics to help subdue my pain from my active duty injury. The number I got called on was 1-626-802-5000.  I have difficulty hearing and consentrating .  I was threatened and like an idiot fell for the scam. Aftier I realized it was a scam I had already given them my atm debit card to take $150 now and $150 on the 1st of july  When I called Wells Fargo to tell them to stop the payment they said they couldn't because it was a debit card transaction versus giving them my checking acct. I filed a claim with the bank. I was told by bank to call law firm and request my money back but of course that was declined. When I asked about proof of taking out a loan that was declined. I told the bank it was a scam and all they had to do is google name of law firm. Well the bank honored the payment and I opened a new account with a different bank.  The law firm got me for $150 but my accout will be closed before that. Also the debit card I gave was closed and I was issued another replacement card. The people and very strong accents and yet their names were michael fuller, steve mathews, and kevin thompson?  What is the likelyhood of 3 indians (india) with caucasion names working for the same law firm?

WOW! This is hilarious and sad all @ once. All these posts, all the different #s, all seeming to be the same man w/ a very thick accent claiming to be 'Brian Green' or some other very western name. I have gotten @ least one call a day for over a week. He has left me 4 different messages w/ 4 different call back #s. The last one (about 10min ago) actually came up as 911 on my caller ID and the message was very threatening. He actually said 'If you or your attorney fails to call me back I can only wish you good luck in your legal battle to come.' So... I Googled the callback # and found ALL this and more. I called him back and said that I had been getting these obviously fake calls for a while now and that I looked him up and found all kinds of fraud info. I said that he needs to take me off his list of potential victims. We'll see if he does.

I've been getting these calls as well, today it was a Daniel Jackman (yeah right) and the number is 347-418-0225.

Who ever is making these calls is ridiculous. I have received at least a dozen calls or more in the last four days. My cell phone and work number, wanting information on my social security number or telling me it is about a lawsuit. They called me at work on Friday and when both my boss and I had hung on them twice they called back at least three more times and left a message on the company voicemail. Today they have called three or four times and they gave my boss the number 561-705-0142, claiming to be a law office but refused to let her talk to a supervisor. Was glad to find this website cause I was really worried, I will admit to having a school debt that was managed by NCO and they have been pretty terrible in the past even when I tried to work things out, I figured it was them again.

I actually got a call with the ID as '911' which is an Emergency number!  These [***] will do anything.  I wish them all to hell, LOSERS.

Just got a call today at work from an unknown number they asked if I had a lawyer then told me there is a lawsuit against me and I need to contact Shawn Woods at 650-332-4893 it is very time-sensitive and by 5pm tonight the case would be recorded or something and they have no further liability. Called the phone number, they gave me an address of 600 B Street, Suite 2020, Belmont, CA 94002. We argued back and forth as I questioned their legitimacy and eventually he told me he was my hubby Mr. Jones. I asked what country he is in and he said he is in my neighborhood and I need to "watch it out" I said if he is going to pretend to be an American then he should speak like an American and then he told me I'm not American....

I got a phone call from a cash advance place saying i got a loan but i never received any money and he told me to meet them at my local court and they would issued a warrant for my arrest and it was a lawsuit but i have not received any paper work from them showing the amount of money from them and my bank lookup for any tranaction made to me and their was none.and the no.is 239-259-1649

yes they have been calling me on my job for 2 days non stop back 2 back phone calls*** i have taken out a payday loan***it sounds like as their speaking their language a computer is transpiring what they are say they try to say they have a legal matter due to be forward out against me blah blah blah they are a scam
