I received a call this morning from HSBC services abs I declined the call. I do not have business with them abs they do not call people to offer card services to non-members. I believe the number was spoofed. Whether you have an  HSBC account or not. If someone calls you from this company, call them back at a number on the back of your card or your statement OR google the number and make sure you get the right one. Some  number listed in an “ad” only from the actual website.

Good info. I wonder what might be missing to make your post useful to someone looking up phone numbers on a phone number lookup site?

I got a similar call, likely from a one-off spoofed number that no one else will see.  Thanks for the info - very helpful!  If more people would do this, the profitability of scams would likely dry up.

Well, sure, if you don't post anything in the proper thread, no one else WILL see it. BTW, what exactly is "this" that you think would "likely dry up" the "profitability of scams"?
