Hy I also happen to got the same situation as you're in. A friend chat me on fb told me she saw my name on the list and then they ask for my fb username and password. But was is true ? Or is it a scam ?

YES! It's a scam!!! Real lotteries do NOT ever email anyone about a winning, the one who, themselves, purchase a lottery ticket at rheir LOCAL vendor are the first to know anyway! It's never the other way around!!!

Real and LEGAL lotteries are ALWAYS and ONLY run by government appointed lottery commisions and NEVER by any private (sector) businesses. FB is ONLY in the social media business NOT the lottery business!!!

Those so called lottery emails are nothing more than advance fee fraud (think ... Nigerian/419 email scam, that's all these scam emails are)!!!

Posting your email address was unwise.  Thieves and scammers read here.  You will be inundated with scam and scam email.  I have asked the board administrator to delete it for you, but she doesn't monitor the board 24/7.  Your email address may remain up for several hours.

You are replying to a post from almost a year ago that was replied to by notMichael. Why are you posting the exact same question again?  For God's sake READ just about any of the replies on this 64 page thread and figure it out!

In other words, there is no facebook lottery. None exists! The whole email is a scam ... of the Nigerian (419) email/advance fee fraud variety!!!

People will believe what they want to believe. What really upsets me the most is how these numerous scams get the elderly. It reminds me of politics. The candidates say what they need to and do the opposite after they get elected.

This is a SCAM sugar. If you really want to give away your money go donate it to a reputable charity. I guarantee you'll get more in return that way!
