Reviving an old thread can be ok if there is something to add to the existing topic, other wise it is best to simply start a new thread. I hope that makes sense. BigA is correct in that most cases, trolls dredge up older threads with off topic nonsense. It is sometimes difficult for some to see when someone is genuinely asking or just pranking to disrupt.
Strange because I know I clicked reply for BigA's post, but it is not replied to him.

New thing. 386-261-1865 AKA CSH Mediation Saying they have judgement against me. Googled CSH Mediation. Number on website goes to a #voice-mail. Not a business. I called #back and got 2 hang ups and a guy in "Mediation" When I asked who he was looking for, he said, "xxxx" I said I'm not her. He said would remove number from computer. I am "xxxx" But, have no outstanding, unpaid debt. Do NOT fall for this. If you're really in trouble, you'll get mail, police or a process server!
1.) Why do you answer calls from numbers you don't recognize? 2.) Why would you call back a number and give telecriminals an opportunity to convince you to pay a bogus debt? That's playing *their* game, by *their* rules. They are very good at their game. 3.) Why would you spend the time to research a company that is obviously run by telecriminals?
Responding to recent replies indirectly to save some trouble:
While it lacks the story told here, Cherry opened the Florida number thread ten minutes before posting in the Forums. We should be "smart enough" to verify facts before lobbing accusations.
Evidently Cherry was not intimidated by the "mediation" caller and saw too clearly through its ruse to be swayed by it.
Because we don't (yet) live in a total police surveillance state, engagement of ambush callers is the only way to learn anything useful about them. Maybe all we gather is that the same status quo threat scripts are in use, maybe we find a rare criminal innovator. But we need to know what fraud shops are up to, and in which behavior patterns, if we expect anything in response past a shoulder shrug from law enforcement.
We have better things to do than to complain about how people react to ringing phones, or to scold them for feeling curious. I grow very tired of repeating this point.

A woman called both me and my son saying she was from DDS (Document Delivery Services) & they need my correct address to serve me these documents. She too was calling from a local phone # in my area. I asked what documents & did not give her my current address. She then told me DDS is just a third party company that finds people & that they have no idea what these documents are. This Dianna person told me I would need to call 877-676-2217 which is Northstar Law Firm in Waterbury & she gave me a file # that I should give when I call this 877 #. I did not call this 877 # and instead find myself here on this forum reading how other people are getting these same types of scam calls! Thank you all for writing in about your experiences.
I, too, am not real computer savvy, so I will tell you I have no idea about # threads etc. All I know is that I'm trying to share my experience with others about a phone call I received earlier today & my son received the same call from these people on his phone & they were looking for ME. A person named "Dianna" called me from a local # to me (203) area code & said she was calling from DDS- Document Delivery Services, & tried to get me to verify an address of which I did not as address she said to me was an old, old, address & right there a red flag went up so I said nothing. I just asked her what kind of documents and she said she had no idea because DDS is a third party locator and that if I want to know more about the documents I need to call North Star Law firm in my hometown and their number is (877)676-2217. She then gave me a 6 digit file# to use when I call that 877 number & that if I wanted to I could call that 877 number & just tell them to F off because she really doesn't care. I did not call the 877 #, but instead plugged it into the computer, and here I am, seeing that this phone # is a suspicious one which is what I suspected.
Contact the FCC and the FBI and turn them in. That's some serious chit some scam artist is attempting to pull on the innocent and gullible. Little old people would just be scared out of their wits and send them whatever amount of money they tell them to so they won't file legal actions against them.
