    all 888 and 9 other area codes are non-geographical, dont waste time looking them up...It's all a big scam ....all they want you to do is call back because you pay the charges then,  they then collect the $$$.  Google up 888 and read the web sites.

    888 is a toll-free exchange. There is no charge for calling a number starting with 888, 800, 877, 866 or 855. They are "non-geographical" in that they don't denote a specific state or city the way other area codes do, but there is no charge to call these numbers.
