I received a call fromt tis company asking me if I wanted to sell my business. I said yes but only if I don't need to pay anything for the process, they told me that the one who pays is the buyer. The told me that somebody from Washington  was going to fly up to meet me.  Holden Buckner-Senior Business Analyst came to see me. He said he had several buyers very interested in my business.  He applied very high pressure sales techniques to avoid giving time to think. He got upset  because I was asking him questions about how he operates his business. He responded my questions with other questions. He asked me to sign  an  agreement that included  to pay him about $15k for the  independent analysis  and business plan although he said that they don't receive any money from that (???).  He also said that I would need to pay him $250k if my business is sold and that also there is a down payment of $25k. They try to manipulate you in a way that they make you feel that is this moment or never again. When I told him that I was going to think about it he got upset and almost leaves. He was trembling.   The whole thing with this people  is really scarry. Be aware.

Had the same experience as Kala with some different numbers, The address the website for IAG is actually the Dept of Motor Vehicles. I really dont think that a company claiming to be so great is working out of a state building. He tried to get me to give him 10k for the analysis and business plan as well. tried the high pressure sales thing with me but did not get anywhere. I also found him in numerous arrests in arizona and before that it looks like he was in washington/seattle area scamming people as a home improvement contractor and ripped off a bunch of people before all this.... Dont give him anything not even your time. BEWARE ...

"INTERNATIONAL AQUISITION GROUP" was introduced to me by a freind of mine who used them with great success. I found him and his frim from start to finish very  "PROFESSIONAL" in knowing how to "SELL MY BUSINESS." I found the fees fare and resonable and much less then the higher ones previously qouted to me. " IAG" and there pepole have been very active and avaliable when I need them.

    History and Description

International Acquisition Group, LLC is a business intermediary consulting firm, facilitating the buying and selling of businesses. For more than 25 years the Management Team has been a leader in the industry and has helped the owners of privately-held companies "cash in" on all their hard work and get the best payoff possible.

Services include consulting services, securing accredited third party business valuations and pro forma portrayals of future business performance, seller-buyer matching, providing funding resources for buy/sell transactions, and tax planning and deal structure analysis.

The company’s goal is to empower business owners to utilize IAG proprietary Merger & Acquisition process of Valuing and selling their businesses. IAG will locate buyers, engage them in a competitive process, and help our clients negotiate successful transactions.  IAG knows what’s important to you so we do this while protecting the confidentiality of your business and minimizing litigation and other risks.

    Operations

When an owner decides to sell a business, what is needed most are serious potential buyers. IAG, through national and international advertising and electronic media, reaches 150 to 200 million readers quarterly to attract these prospective buyers. The business for sale is added to an extensive database that matches interested buyers and sellers on criteria such as primary business activity, location and asking price along with other mission critical criteria.

International Acquisition Group effectively reaches businesses across North America, including markets where sellers may have an especially difficult time locating buyers themselves. Sellers responding to IAG are contacted by one of the company’s more than 60 Business Analyst nationally.  Our professionals have assisted buyers and sellers in hundreds of transactions in a variety of industries.  These specially trained professionals meet with business owners to determine if they have a good probability of being successful with our buyer group and educate them on the process of selling their business and coordinating all financial information needed for valuation preparation, and packaging their business before IAG takes the business to market, thus making IAG one of the largest M & A company of its kind.

    Testimonials

“After suffering through little to no results with local realtors, we had the very good fortune of working with International Acquisition Group. Our business was given great exposure to buyers all over the country. With IAG we were able to sell our business in a fraction of the time that we would have if we were limited to our local resources or trying to sell the business on our own.”
    Software Engineering Company.  Vancouver, BC

“We are pleased to inform you that we have SOLD our business to a buyer provided by IAG.  We received a fair market price for our business and are now ready to retire.  Thanks to the advertising and marketing services provided by IAG, we had several qualified buyers competing for our business.  Since all of the buyers had the financial ability to do the deal, OUR CHALLENGE WAS MORE IN SELECTING THE INDIVIDUAL WE FELT WAS RIGHT FOR OUR BUSINESS.  As we discussed, the chosen buyer has requested to remain anonymous.  Thank you again for your services and we are looking forward to our next chapter in life.”
    Satisfied Client, Laurel, Maryland

“Upon the sale of my very specialized business, I feel compelled to write to you with many thanks for your efforts on my behalf. Your services were instrumental and imperative for the fruition of our endeavor. I could not have researched prospects, much less located qualified buyers without your help. Your staff was most helpful and understanding, and a credit to your organization. I am most grateful for all that you have done, especially in the time frame accomplished.”
    Satisfied Client, Syracuse, New York

“I want to thank your company and you personally for the assistance you provided. First, if you weren’t out there it is unlikely we would have found each other. Your services provide a valuable resource for buyers and sellers who don’t’ want to go to the broker route. I appreciate your help and have no reservations about recommending your service to someone else.”
    Satisfied Client, Gilbert, Arizona

“International Acquisition Group has been more than you have advertised to be. The evaluation took into consideration the customer base. Every month we received a list of prospective buyers. IAG works very closely with both Buyer and Seller in order to make the transaction a success for both parties. I’ve been very pleased with the customer relations we have had.”
    Satisfied Client, Milledgeville, Georgia

"The confidentiality process exercised in the selling of our business was the most defining aspect of this transaction. Not only was the buyer form our local area, but he was related to a long time former employee who had no knowledge of our desire to sell. There is no other venue that could have maintained the confidentiality demonstrated by IAG. It has been a most favorable experience working with you and your efforts are most appreciated.
    Satisfied Client, Olatha, Kansas

"I greatly appreciate all the excellent work and expertise your agency has provided. I will recommend your organization any time that I hear of a business that comes up for sale. Again, I thank you for your excellent work.”
    Satisfied Client, Denver, Colorado

“It has been a real pleasure working with the courteous staff at IAG. The confidentiality of our business matters have always been a high priority and IAG handled the sale of our business on a very professional level. They realized what our needs are and together we were able to develop a plan that fits both parties well.”
    Agricultural Supply Manufacturer
    Alberta, Canada

“International Acquisition Group gets it. They understand what we need to communicate about our business to get the most qualified buyers. They work hard to make sure that our business gets the exposure that it deserves in order to receive a fair market value when we sell”

The Dallas Chamber of Commerce recently published an article that recognized "IAG" and their dedication and teamwork in orchestrating the transactions between business buyers and sellers. IAG takes great pride in their affiliates and partners and are pleased to announce the following excerpts:

The Dallas Chamber of Commerce article, titled "Profiles of Success", recognized "IAG" and their dedication and teamwork in orchestrating the transactions between business buyers and sellers. Of special note is the current market trends and how IAG assists throughout the entire process. IAG fills a real need for today’s business owner.

"Jason Hullender" VP of "Acquisitions" explained how one simple mistake can be critical in selling your business. IAG explains that selling your business for the maximum value requires a different set of skills and perspective than running it. The process of selling is filled with obstacles and challenges. It requires experience in buyer relationships and involves proper attention to due diligence issues. To reach millions of potential buyers IAG utilizes a global marketing campaign via electronic media and they have a number of affiliate relationships to introduce additional buyers to IAG sellers along with investor groups and private equity firms who are seeking acquisitions.

IAG’s focus is on the process of attracting buyers which frees their seller clients to do what they do best -- run their business.

Also noted was per a recent Forbes article, “We should see a renewed flow of corporate mergers and acquisitions. The M & A market has already emerged from depressed levels due to the financial distress of the credit crisis, and is poised to see a wealth of deals next year.” With the baby boomers beginning to retire and the market upswing now may be the perfect time to list your business for sale.

Mark Williams VP noted, “When choosing IAG to represent you in the sale of your company, we take the time to understand your goals, timing and the structure needed for a successful exit. IAG helps the business owner determine the worth of your business and develop a strategy to maximize perceived value and price. This process involves a tremendous amount of teamwork, collaboration and preparation to present your company to qualified buyers and work towards a successful transition.”

As they resort to spamming, the IAG company must be ran by very dishonest people.

Of course, only an honest company that is totally on the up-and-up would spam a site like this. Thanks for letting us know what kind of company this really is (for those few who hadn't figured out the truth yet).

    LOL.

    scammed
You're right... Holden Buckner is a scam.  He was run out of Tucson, Arizona in 1998 because under the guise of his company Cedarcrest Financial, he stole money from old folks who had given it to him to invest in ROTH IRAs.

In Seattle, he was the man at the helm of a contractor scam in 2002.

    http://www.komonews.com/news/archive/4070246.html

He's used both his daughter's name and his father's name on bills and company LLCs... as well as changing his own name several times.  He's declared personal bankruptcy at least 2 times. IS this a man you want to manage any financial transaction of yours?

100% total scam.  It's the same thing as Corporate Acquisitions Group/Global Acquisitions Group(they changed names when the criminal lawsuits started to pile up) from Englewood Colorado.  They were finally killed by the Colorado AG and hit with a $2 million dollar fine for defrauding over 700 small businesses.

According to the complaint filed in Arapahoe County District Court, Defendant Tymkovich and Levine represented themselves to be a business broker company specializing in the sale of small businesses. Defendants solicit business owners contemplating the sale of their business, making exaggerated claims and false representations as to the benefits of their services.  The Defendants convinced over 700 businesses to contract the sale of their businesses. However, Defendants sold fewer that ten businesses from July 2006 – September 2009.

If you want to defend IAG, since you obviously represent them, why not just say you are with IAG (you don't have to specifically identify yourself)  and make your case.    Posing as a "satisfied customer" or whatever simply makes you look deceptive and suspect as a result.

Since these "people" are claiming a Carrolton, TX address, may I urge those of you who have had contact with them to file a complaint with the Texas State Attorney General.  Posting here is great, as it helps others, but an AG complaint is what you need to do to get people before the bar of justice.

To file a complaint on-line, go here: <https://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/complain.shtml>

    Thanks for doing your part.

I received a call -- unsolicited -- from a consultant for IAG.  Everthing seemed interesting and I was about to proceed until I showed all the attachments he sent to our financial analyst and he recommended to stop immediately.  After doing some searching, this web site seems to confirm the concerns that this business is not really in the business of selling businesses.  It is more in the business of taking money for false promises.

Thanks everyone who took the time to comment on your experiences.
