    cold day in h---
When will people learn that nothing good will ever come from a cold call.

NOTHING. EVER. And if they ask to speak to the "owner", that's a SCAM hands down.

Anyone who "markets" this way is doing so because they cannot sell through legimitate channels. Now think about why that is.

The best thing to do is not to answer a number you don't recognize, but that's not always possible for a business. In that case, hang up on cold callers, or put them on indefinite hold. Don't engage them.

I guess this person thinks every ligitimate business in America that is in a industry like other bad businesses or they may have a similar name is all bad. It is a shame that people post this kind of  information about company without doing real diligence before they discredit the companies name. If you want legitimate information I would recomend going somewere else.

Hear hear! We must turn a deaf ear to attorneys general and only take the word of sub-literate shills who cannot spell "legitimate" the same way twice.

I think a spell checker and some basic grammar  would help your credibility.

This IAG company in Carrollton isn't the same company in Denver, I asked a lot of questions of their owner and management team. I was comfortable with their answers in that I also went back and check with the AG of Denver County. The two owners who previously ran the scam company in Denver are currently incarcerated. I did allow for the IAG team to come and meet with me and my attorney, we felt comfortable and moved forward with them. This meeting was my sixth firm we met with and they (IAG) gained and provided a lot of trust in us. They laid out some very impressive tomb stones of done deals I think around 40 or so can't remember. Non the less, make sure your dirting the right business first.

IAG has called our business 2-4 times a day for over a month. I don't know if they are legit or not. Why they think we would do business with them after repeatedly telling them we were not interested is beyond me. I filed complaints with the Dallas BBB, Texas AG and the FTC. I am going to buy an air horn for them to talk to if they call back.

Why do I find posts which are both semi-literate and lacking in verifiable facts so unpersuasive?

Want to write something which makes sense, and which we can fact check?

I think maybe I need to turn the heat up, I seem to feel a little shill in the room.

    Joan,

You might want to record their calls.  Perhaps you can collaborate with others here to get the AG's attention.  A call to a state legislator can sometimes help get the AG to respond.  You are going to have to persuade them that you are dealing with a widespread problem, and make the case that this is not just a pushy salesman.

A call blocker is also a good option.

Unfortunately, they appear to be monitoring this thread, so be wary of who you communicate with and what you say.

So, as a satisfied customer of IAG, what brings you to 800Notes in the first place?    Just trolling random web sites to sing the praises of IAG?

Corporate Acquisitions is not and has never been affiliated with IAG. If you have any concerns, please contact your local BBB for more information. IAG has an excellent rating and is still in business, unlike Corporate Acquistions.

IAG and its staff believe in and practice total client satisfaction. We feel we have a unique proposition over our competition. We are proud of our track record and have never been cited or reprimanded by any proper governing body. Our headquarters are in Carrollton, and none of our corporate officers have ever had any affiliation with the Corporate Acquisition Group out of Colorado.

If you don't object, I have a few questions for you.

The same BBB that reportedly (see link below) gave Hamas an A rating? The same BBB that has been accused of selling ratings?  That BBB ?  Not much of a reference in my personal opinion.

    (see: <http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/business-bureau ... ory?id=12123843> )

With respect to your statement, "....have never been cited or reprimanded by any proper governing body." What makes a governing body improper?  Who gets to decide if they are "proper" or not?

Why do you persist in leaving out the sort of details that would be needed to pull a background check on your company, and (hopefully) substantiate your assertion of innocence?

I have no idea if you are innocent good guys, or tricky bad guys.  I am certainly not one of your accusers.  But I am puzzled by your continuing failure to provide hard verifiable facts in an effort to clear your good name.

International Acquisitions Group is a scam.  You sell business valuations with zero intention of selling businesses.  You fabricate testimonials, you post obviously misleading press releases that cannot be verified, and you troll here.

Speaking of your business locations...your Toronto "office" has the same 877 phone number as the New York "office" as the Texas "office"?  Google the Toronto "office" location, it's some other company with a legit. website.  Same for the NYC "office".  Why have fake locations, oh, right, because you are trying to build customer confidence through fabricated and overtly misleading information.

Using the BBB as a shield is a very impotent defense.  It is well known in the business community that they sell ratings.  Also remember that they are an independent organization that make their money from selling ratings, they are not part of the US government, as many think.  It’s a guarantee that you could simply create a terrible company, like International Acquisitions Group, make it the most unappreciated business in the U.S., as you seem to be doing, and just pay the Better Business Bureau their membership fee, you’ll look green across the board.

Had a meeting with a rep. from IAG this evening. Wants $5K upfront and either $15 or $30K at closing depending if we want to sell ourselves (meaning meet with buyers) vs them doing all the work involved. I am a googler I check out everyone. I noticed they are NOT BBB accredited also. $5K is a lot of $$ for a small business that has only been in operation for 2 years and telling us that we could potentially get $250K -n$350K if we allow them to find a buyer. Glad I'm a googler.

After further review of AIG in Dallas TX. If you put their address into GOOGLE EARTH .. it comes up as Dallas DMV. Perhaps they rent an office for telemarketing team. I also called the Dallas Chamber of Commerce today and yes IAG is a member since 2009, HOWEVER... the woman told me that she cannot find anything in their system showing that they "recognized" IAG in an article. They are NOT accredited with the BBB ..looks like they lost their accredidation? (spelling). The man made it sound like if we didn't do this NOW, the buyers would go elsewhere!! What a crock of crap.. I'm going to use a local commercial realtor vs IAG .... been scammed way too much in the past.
