We need a telephone for NAMECHEAP.COM.  They are hosting the site.  We also need to contact Best Buy's corporate office, since their name is being used in a derogatory manner.

I got a similar text from 815-579-9742 (an Illinoise phone number) that claimed, "Your entry last month has WON! Go to http://bestbuyprizes.net and enter code #### to claim your FREE $1000 Best Buy Gift Card within 24 hours!"  Interesting is a quick Google search shows Best Buy's corp. headquarters is located in Richmond, Minnesota; it's possible they could have their prizes center located elsewhere, but it seems like a lot of overhead cost that makes bad business sense.

A quick Whois Domain Lookup of bestbuyprizes.net showed the domain is registered to a guy called Samir Kocchar; I've posted the registrant information below, for those that may be interested.

Thank you to everyone for helping to keep everyone from being scammed. :)

Update - unfortunately, this is STILL HAPPENING!  only now, they've switched to a .net email address.  I haven't shopped Best Buy for years - and NEVER "text to win", so knew the text was probably a scam.  Still glad I googled, instead of getting Happy Fingers!  Too bad we can't block these Spam msgs on our phones!! Thx for the warnings!!
