There is some truth to that! There seems to be a correlation between the two. This is why I didn't register my new number-ZERO spam calls thus far!i Coincidence?

Hmmmm...... is that a prediction ? :-) If the dialers come back to torment me I will change number again. Or hire someone to protect me!? If DNC was so good there would not be a forum like this! And you and I would not be conversing. 800notes is doing a great job.

No, not really. But changing to a new number isn't the answer either. Usually that is someone else's old number and will bring its illegal calls with it. Call blocking works very well. As for the DNC, I don't want the honest business's that abide by it to start calling also on top of the criminals. I haven't had some of these really bad scammers call, but its just a matter of time as I see it, sooner or latter they will try here also.

My phone company only allows me to block 30 numbers.  I could do that in 2 days!.  Sometimes the calls come so close together that I am beginning to wonder if there are only a very few call centers doing this.  They are mostly robocalls so they don't know who they are calling, just waiting for a call to connect.  I don't answer unknown numbers but I have elderly relatives so I have to look at the caller i.d. every time the phone rings.  My Panasonic will block 'anonymous' phone numbers but then there are calls I get and want to speak with that have caller i.d. of 'anonymous'.  I'm about to put a letter together for the state attorney general and then go up from there.  No one should be able to force their calls on us without proper identification.  This is phone terrorism!!!

I just purchased a new Panasonic phone system from Costco that will block up to 2900 phone numbers.  In addition, you can block entire area codes, which I did, since I only receive calls from a few area codes nation wide from family.  The system was cheap, $119.00 including 5 handsets, and works great.  Unfortunately, I'm still plagued by local robo calls and have to resort to blocking individual numbers, often 3 or 4 numbers for the same company.  They're catching on to the whole call blocking thing I guess.  But it's a great system for the money and the annoying fake IRS and MIcrosoft calls have stopped coming in.  Centurylink offers a service that announces to the caller that your number does not accept solicitations and to hang up, but it doesn't do any more than that.  They can stay on the line if they choose, and harass you.

What model would this be? Most of the ones I have looked at, only hold 30 or 250 blocked numbers.

Although I think they probably made a typo when writing their post, I would also be interested in the model they did actually buy.  Looking at Costco's site, the only Panasonic model they list near that price and with that many handsets only supports 250 blocked numbers.

I kinda thought so Nimrod..  I got curious because I've seen this same typo a few times, but upon looking, never saw one listed with that many!   LOL!
