As does blocking.
Blowing whistles might just get you more calls, and will not get you your privacy back. - post pending moderator approval
- BC replies to SallyI'm sure that there are legitimate callers like you out there, but the illegitimate have spoiled it for you. 99% of the calls are informing me that I've won a vacation!, or that the IRS demands payment, etc., etc. It is ignorant of you to think that saying that I'm not interested will stop the calls. Again, maybe from you, no, but the other 99% will just register me as a "responder" and sell my number to 100 other scammers. I feel sorry for you but telemarketing is a waste of you time due to the scum that scam people. My mother lost $87,000 to those scum. When you call, I have no way of distinguishing you from those scum, so unfortunately, I am forced to treat you the same.

- OAP replies to SallyIf you are not part of the solution, baby, then you are part of the problem. Based on your post, I deem you part of the problem. Just because something is personally useful or good for YOU does not mean it is good for the society at large.
- Tinter5280| 1 replyHA! I searched whether blowing a whistle into a telemarketer's ear is illegal and 'surprise' it's not. Also, "Sally" posted the exact same sob story (verbatim - Like cut-and-paste) on another site https://www.jackcola.org/2010/07/how-to-stop-telemarketers-from-calling-you/. I seriously doubt her story. Anyway, it's all part of your job, right "Sally"? Kind of like football players getting injured. I have an air horn I bought online for my bicycle that's 123 db I am going to keep at work from now on. The best part is you refill it w/ compressed air from a hand pump or compressor.
