Text message said I had won a $500 gift card to Target

I received a text message on my cell that said I had won a $500 gift card to Target.  The phone number is 1-443-756-5042.  You have to go to the website http://www.target.com.wphd.biz/?claim+111 and enter a special code to claim my prize.  This came through at midnight, so I knew it was a scam, but checked the internet phishing and scam sites and sure enough I was right.  Do not be duped - I didn't enter any contest for Target and never would believe an email or text saying I was a winner.

I once logged on their site and typed in "FBI" as my winning code.   They informed me I was a winner!  Still waiting for that gift card.  :)

Its a con, there is no prize, its a Phising scam & probably inserts a Virus in your browser/ computer!
The # I got one from was 901-833-8375

Creating a separate report for that # as we speak!

got a text from 405-227-6661 for an entry to best buy saying i won a 1000 dollar gift card the funny thing is i never did enter a best buy thing. texted them back good try.

i just got a text saying " your entry last month has WON!  Go to http://www.target.com.wphd.biz/?claim+111 and enter your Winning Code: "6655" to claim your FREE $500 Target Giftard! "

I received the same $500.00 claim on my phone. Can someone verify if SCAM and address.

This was bad timing. Hadd family coming and money would have helped.  If you are a SCAM KILA,
please do so and thanks!, from me and my handicapped grandson I was going to use the card to help.

Literally just got the same exact message from "Target" a half hour ago. Don't these people have anything better to do with themselves?

Got a similar message promising me a $1000 gift card from Target if I visited a phony website and entered my area code into it.  I just deleted the message.  The message was a little plausible, inasmuch as I do enter merchandisers' sweepstakes.  But I am also aware that I would never be notified via a text.  Apparently this is a new thing called "smishing."  My text came from 1-813-217-1143.

I literally just the message like 9 minutes ago...geez..

The number they contacted me was at  3104639253
