WARNING: Calling back using *67 does NOT necessarily hide your caller ID from ANYONE

Get a burner number on Google voice or something like TextFree and call back numbers on that. Then never answer it because they will start to call it.

Why call back unknown numbers at all?

Set "Silent" for the default ringtone on your phone, and set a distinctive ringtone for all on your list of contacts.  Scammers rarely leave a message, and when legit callers do...call *them* back.  I'm never hassled by scam calls on my cell phone any more.
