Doesn't matter what company name you are given. Look instead at the behavior and claims of those making the offer.
FTC Travel Tips: Signs of a Scam (excerpts)
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0046-travel-tips#tell-tale
-- You “won a free vacation” — but you have to pay some fees first --
A legitimate company won’t ask you to pay for a prize. Any company trying to sell you on a “free” vacation will probably want something from you — taxes and fees, attendance at mandatory timeshare presentations, even pressure to buy “extras” or “add-ons” for the vacation, etc. ......
.....
-- They cold-call, cold-text, or email you out of the blue ....
-- They don’t — or can’t — give you specifics .....
-- You get a robocall about it
Robocalls from companies trying to sell you something are almost always illegal if you haven’t given the company written permission to call you. .... - Missy| 1 replyI just received the call and the rep was able to confirm where I registered for the trip. But when I was transferred to recorded voicemail, I lost interest. 69/per day for some crap then 29/day for some other crap. Nothing makes sense. If this was truly "free" or "won" then why say I have to pay two weeks in advance. CHILD PLEASE. I definitely think its a scam. Im reporting the phone number to BBB and blocking it.
- CelticDragon replies to MissyAs Tami said, if you WIN something, you don't have to PAY for the prize!
- Tyler| 3 repliesmy cousin works for the BBB, and apparently they are legit, they are within all state guidelines for the simple fact they never use the words "won" or "winning" and keys words like "with an option", and they explain all fees. Elliot (my cousin) also told me they are one of the biggest companies for tourism to the Bahamas.
- anon replies to Tyler| 1 replySure they are. That's why you had to come here and shill for them.
- MidNYteStorm replies to anonHow much more obvious can they be?
- Badge714 replies to TylerNow why would you search for a phone number when there is no need to? Why would you search, click on a link, & then post a 'glowing' report about a company for no reason? Don't you love questions that answer themselves.
