E Gumball

E Gumball is a google marketing scam!!!!! they call me every day and will not stop. First they said they were Google and tried to update my information on google. now they call with a new message " if this is the business owner press 1 now "

I pressed 1 and then I get a live person on the phone stating they are partners with google? I dont know what to believe?

They are very probably NOT Google - what is the phone number that called you??  Without that your post will disappear.

If you get one, besides the FTC, report it to Google at https://support.google.com/business/contact/rbc_form  Looks like Google is getting tired of these SEO folks using their name (and not their own company) in the robocalls.

I asked them about "Panda", and the SEO representative had no idea what I was talking about.

Nuts.  I've made it all week without a telemarketing call, and Egumball decides to be the one to break my streak here at https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-323-741-5453 with a prerecord.

As noted in the post, they did not used the name Google in the pre-record, or initial discussions.  The only time they used Google's name was in list of search engines which "scrub their network for information", and initially called themselves "Map Support".  So, perhaps Google has made some very explicit cease and desists against these companies.

I just realized something very weird: I have NEVER received one of these "update your Google listing" scam calls. Ever. And my domain registration has my real phone number listed.

No Worries!  Send me your phone number and I will pass it on when when they call me.  The recording have the odor of baked Scam, with over-tones of sleeze.  The voice on the recordings has hints of Rachel, sweet and coy.  Men desire Her.  Women want to... etc...   I wonder if Rachel has made it to Fanfiction.net?   Forbidden Love, it always sells.

Bob sits patiently at his desk, his face a pale yellow from the glow of the caller id.  His headset sits uncomfortably on his head.  He furrows his brow at the display, irritated at it's silence.  He's waited for hours, upon hours. He desires to speak to her again, to hear her cheery voice. Someday, Rachel of Card Services will call again. Bob is sure. Only Rachel can save him, rescue him from the abyss of loneliness.

He remembers their (or there) last meeting... standing under the Dwarf Maple trees in the soft Spring rain.  "Bob, you know it's impossible...if your nasty boss at the DNC ever found out..."  "Huh?  wtf Rach?  I know it is an election year, but what does the Democratic National Comm...... OUCH!"  Rachel had lashed out with her knee to Bob's 'bread box' and hissed loudly "You moron!  The DO NOT CALL.  What are you, Stupid?  Do I have to dial 411 for you?  I want that List Bob.  List or you can forget about ringing MY exchange!"   Bob carefully considered his response.  Was this a trick question?.....
